Operating Instructions
The measuring cup is key to achieving your desired egg consistency. It has markings for soft, medium, and hard-boiled eggs, as well as for poached eggs and omelets.

For Hard, Medium, or Soft-Boiled Eggs:
- Fill the measuring cup with cold water to the desired line (Soft, Medium, or Hard).
- Use the piercing pin located at the bottom of the measuring cup to gently poke a small hole in the large end of each egg. This helps prevent cracking during cooking.
- Pour the measured water onto the heating plate of the cooker.
- Place the 6-egg holder tray onto the heating plate. Place up to 6 pierced eggs onto the tray with the pierced end facing upwards.
- Cover the cooker with the transparent lid. Ensure it is securely placed.
- Plug in the cooker and press the power button. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The cooker will automatically shut off and sound an alarm when the water has evaporated and the eggs are cooked.
- Carefully remove the lid (steam will be hot) and transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel.

- Lightly grease the poaching tray. Crack up to 2 eggs into the poaching tray.
- Place the poaching tray onto the heating plate.
- Cover with the lid, plug in, and press the power button.
- The cooker will shut off automatically when done.
For Omelets:
- Fill the measuring cup to the "Omelet" line with cold water.
- Pour the water onto the heating plate.
- Lightly grease the omelet tray. Whisk eggs and any desired ingredients in a separate bowl, then pour into the omelet tray.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your egg cooker.
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- All non-electric parts (lid, trays, measuring cup) are dishwasher safe. You can also wash them by hand with warm, soapy water.
- To clean the heating plate, wipe it with a damp cloth. For mineral deposits (which may appear as rust but are natural mineral residues from water), use a mild solution of water and vinegar (10 parts water, 1 part vinegar) or a "Magic Eraser" sponge. Wet the sponge with water and gently scrub in a circular motion.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any part of the cooker.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your DASH Rapid Egg Cooker, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Eggs not cooked to desired consistency | Incorrect water amount; lid not sealed; eggs not pierced. | Ensure correct water level using the measuring cup. Check lid is securely closed. Pierce eggs as instructed. |
| Mineral deposits on heating plate | Hard water residue. | Clean with a 10:1 water-to-vinegar solution or a "Magic Eraser" sponge. |
| Eggs cracking during cooking | Eggs not pierced; cold eggs placed directly into hot cooker. | Always pierce eggs. Allow very cold eggs to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cooking. |
