5. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps to install your components into the IN WIN IW-MS04-01-S265 chassis.

5.1. Preparing the Chassis

  • Unscrew the thumbscrews on the rear panel and slide off the side panel(s) to access the interior.
  • Identify the motherboard tray, drive bays, and power supply location.

5.2. Motherboard Installation

The IW-MS04-01-S265 supports Mini-ITX motherboards. Ensure your motherboard is compatible.

  1. Install the I/O shield into the rear I/O opening of the chassis.
  2. Carefully align your Mini-ITX motherboard with the standoffs on the motherboard tray.
  3. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws.
  4. Connect the front panel connectors (Power SW, Reset SW, HDD LED, Power LED, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Audio) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.

5.3. Drive Installation (3.5" Hot-Swap Bays)

A slim ODD bay is available for optical drives.

  1. Remove the slim ODD bay cover from the front panel.
  2. Slide your slim ODD into the bay and secure it with screws.
  3. Connect the necessary slim SATA power and data cables.

5.6. Power Supply Connection

The 265W Flex Power Supply is pre-installed. Connect the main ATX power connector and CPU power connector to your motherboard. Ensure all drive power connections are made.

5.7. Cable Management

Organize internal cables to improve airflow and aesthetics. Use the included cable ties to bundle cables neatly.

5.8. Closing the Chassis

Once all components are installed and cables are managed, carefully slide the side panel back into place and secure it with the thumbscrews.
