2. Safety Information

4. Setup

The LG SP-5200 speakers are designed for use with LG UH5B Display Platforms. Proper connection is crucial for optimal audio performance.

4.1 Speaker Placement

Position the two speakers on either side of your LG UH5B Display Platform. Ensure they are placed on a stable, flat surface or mounted securely if using compatible brackets. For optimal surround sound experience, ensure there are no obstructions between the speakers and the listening area.

4.2 Connecting the Speakers

The SP-5200 speakers utilize wired connectivity. Follow these steps to connect them to your display platform or compatible audio amplifier:

1. Identify the speaker terminals on the back of each SP-5200 speaker. These are typically color-coded (red for positive, black for negative) or clearly labeled.
2. Identify the corresponding speaker output terminals on your LG UH5B Display Platform or external amplifier. Refer to your display platform's or amplifier's manual for specific instructions.
3. Connect one end of a speaker cable to the positive (+) terminal of the first SP-5200 speaker and the other end to the positive (+) output terminal for the left channel on your display platform/amplifier.
4. Connect the other speaker cable to the negative (-) terminal of the first SP-5200 speaker and the negative (-) output terminal for the left channel on your display platform/amplifier.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the second SP-5200 speaker, connecting it to the right channel output terminals of your display platform/amplifier.
6. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent signal loss or short circuits.

Note: Incorrect wiring (e.g., reversed polarity) can result in poor sound quality, including weak bass and an undefined soundstage. Always match positive to positive and negative to negative.

5. Operation

The LG SP-5200 speakers are passive speakers, meaning they do not have their own power source or controls. Their operation is entirely dependent on the connected audio source, such as an LG UH5B Display Platform or an external amplifier.

5.1 Powering On/Off

The speakers will power on and off automatically with the connected display platform or amplifier. There is no separate power switch for the SP-5200 speakers.

5.2 Adjusting Volume
