4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner cooking pan, dish separator pans, steaming basket, idli stand, measuring cup, and rice scoop with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Cooking Rice

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields about 2-3 cups of cooked rice.
  2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the inner cooking pan. Add water according to the markings inside the pan or use a ratio of approximately 3.25 to 4 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. Adjust water quantity based on rice type and desired consistency.
  4. Place Inner Pan: Ensure the exterior of the inner cooking pan is dry. Place it into the main unit, rotating it slightly to ensure proper contact with the heating element.
  5. Close Lid: Close the lid securely.
  6. Start Cooking: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the 'Cooking' switch. The 'Cooking' indicator light will illuminate.
  7. Automatic Keep-Warm: Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the 'Keep Warm' mode, and the 'Keep Warm' indicator light will illuminate. The appliance can keep rice warm for up to 5 hours without significant loss of texture or flavor.
  8. Serve: Open the lid carefully to avoid steam burns. Fluff the rice with the rice scoop and serve.

5.2. Steaming Food

The rice cooker can also be used for steaming vegetables, dumplings, idlis, and other foods using the included accessories.

  1. Add Water: Pour an appropriate amount of water into the inner cooking pan. Ensure the water level is below the steaming basket or separator pans.
  2. Prepare Food: Place the food to be steamed into the steaming basket, dish separator pans, or idli stand.
  3. Assemble: Place the steaming basket or other accessories onto the inner cooking pan.
  4. Start Steaming: Close the lid and press the 'Cooking' switch. The 'Cooking' indicator light will illuminate.
  5. Monitor: Steam until the food is cooked to your desired tenderness. Be cautious with water quantity; too much water can overcook delicate items.
  6. Finish: Once steaming is complete, switch off the cooker or unplug it. Carefully remove the lid and accessories, being mindful of hot steam.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
