The device comes with an upper arm cuff suitable for arm circumferences between 22 and 36 cm. 4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Taking a Measurement
- Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
- Press the START/STOP button (power button) to begin the measurement. The cuff will inflate automatically.
- Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, the systolic pressure (SYS), diastolic pressure (DIA), and pulse rate (PUL) will be displayed on the large, easy-to-read screen.
- The results are classified using a color-coded traffic light system on the left side of the display, based on WHO guidelines.
- If an irregular heartbeat is detected, a corresponding symbol will appear on the display.
4.2. Memory Function
The BU 530 Connect features 120 memory slots for each of two users (User 1 and User 2). To switch between users, use the SET button. To view past measurements, press the MEM button. Repeatedly pressing MEM will cycle through stored readings, including the average of the last three measurements.
4.3. Bluetooth Connection and VitaDock+ App
The device can connect via Bluetooth to the Medisana VitaDock+ app on your smartphone or tablet. This allows for convenient tracking, analysis, and sharing of your blood pressure data. Follow the instructions within the VitaDock+ app to pair your device and synchronize measurements.
