Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your iJDMTOY Front Bumper Switchback LED Daytime Running Lights. These lights are designed as a direct replacement for the OEM bumper reflectors on 2006-2009 Nissan 350Z LCI models, offering both xenon white Daytime Running Light (DRL) and amber yellow LED turn signal functions.
Safety Precautions
- Always disconnect the vehicle's battery before beginning any electrical work to prevent electrical shock or damage.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the parking brake engaged.
- If you are unsure about any step, consult a qualified automotive technician.
Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before starting the installation:
- 2x iJDMTOY Switchback LED DRL/Turn Signal Assemblies (Left & Right)
- Wiring Harness with Control Module

Installation Guide
This installation is compatible with 2006-2009 Nissan 350Z LCI models only. It replaces OEM part numbers 26140-CF40A and 26145-CF40A.
Step 1: Vehicle Preparation
- Park your Nissan 350Z on a flat, stable surface.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Access the front bumper area. This may require removing the front bumper or specific bumper panels/bezels to gain access to the OEM reflector locations.
Step 2: Remove OEM Bumper Reflectors
- Carefully unclip or unscrew the existing OEM vertical grille filler inserts/reflectors from the front bumper.
- Set aside the OEM parts.
Step 3: Install iJDMTOY LED Assemblies
- Align the new iJDMTOY Switchback LED DRL assemblies with the openings in the bumper.
- Snap or secure the LED assemblies into place. Ensure they are seated firmly and flush with the bumper surface.

Step 4: Wiring Connections
Route the wiring from the LED assemblies to the engine bay or a suitable location for connections. The wiring harness typically includes connections for DRL (white light) and turn signal (amber light) functions.
- For Daytime Running Light (White) Function: Connect the designated DRL wire from the control module to a 12V ignition switched power source. This can often be found in the fuse box (e.g., a fuse that is only active when the ignition is on).
- For Turn Signal (Amber) Function: Connect the designated turn signal wires from the control module to the positive wires of your vehicle's existing front turn signals. This allows the amber LEDs to flash in sync with your factory turn signals.
- Ground Connection: Connect the ground wire from the control module to a reliable chassis ground point on the vehicle.
- Secure all wiring with zip ties to prevent chafing or interference with moving parts. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
Step 5: Testing and Reassembly
- Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
- Turn on the ignition and verify that the white DRLs illuminate.
- Activate the turn signals (left and right) to confirm that the amber LEDs flash correctly.
- If all functions operate as expected, reassemble any removed bumper panels or components.
Operation
The iJDMTOY Switchback LED DRLs operate automatically based on your vehicle's electrical system connections:
- Daytime Running Light (DRL) Mode: When the vehicle's ignition is on, the LEDs will illuminate in a bright xenon white color, enhancing visibility during daylight hours.
- Turn Signal Mode: When the turn signal is activated, the white DRLs will switch off, and the LEDs will flash in an amber yellow color, indicating your turning intention. Once the turn signal is deactivated, the white DRLs will resume.

Maintenance
These LED lights are designed for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Clean the lens surfaces periodically with a soft cloth and mild automotive cleaner to ensure maximum light output. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or looseness.
- Damage: If the lens or housing becomes damaged, replacement of the entire assembly may be necessary.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lights do not turn on | No power connection, blown fuse, loose ground wire | Check power and ground connections. Inspect vehicle's fuse box for a blown fuse and replace if necessary. |
| Only one light works | Faulty wiring to one light, defective LED assembly | Inspect wiring to the non-functional light. If wiring is correct, the LED assembly may be faulty and require replacement. |
| Amber turn signal does not flash | Incorrect turn signal wire connection | Verify the turn signal wire from the control module is correctly tapped into the vehicle's turn signal positive wire. |
| Lights flicker or dim | Poor electrical connection, insufficient power | Ensure all connections are tight and free of corrosion. Confirm the power source provides stable 12V. |
