4. Setup and Installation

For optimal security, it is highly recommended to securely fix the safe to a wall or floor using the provided mounting hardware.

4.1 Choosing a Location

Select a discreet and secure location for your safe. Ensure the surface (wall or floor) is strong enough to support the weight of the safe and its contents.

4.2 Mounting Instructions

  1. Mark Drilling Points: Place the safe in the desired mounting position. Using a pencil, mark the locations of the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom of the safe onto the wall or floor.

  3. Drill Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit for your wall/floor material, drill holes at the marked points. Ensure the depth and diameter of the holes match the provided wall plugs.
  4. Insert Wall Plugs: Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes. Tap them gently with a hammer until they are flush with the surface.
  5. Secure the Safe: Align the safe's holes with the installed wall plugs. Insert the fixing screws through the safe's holes and tighten them firmly into the wall plugs using a suitable screwdriver or wrench.

  7. Test Stability: After tightening, gently try to move the safe to ensure it is securely fixed and cannot be easily dislodged.

5. Operating Instructions

Your HMF safe operates with a traditional double-bit key lock, providing reliable security.

5.1 Opening the Safe

  1. Insert one of the provided double-bit keys into the keyhole on the safe door.

  3. Turn the key clockwise (or counter-clockwise, depending on the specific lock mechanism) until you hear the locking bolts retract.
  4. Pull the door open.

5.2 Closing and Locking the Safe

  1. Ensure the door is fully closed and flush with the safe body.

  3. Insert the key into the keyhole (if not already there) and turn it counter-clockwise (or clockwise) until the locking bolts extend and the door is secured.
  4. Remove the key and store it in a safe, separate location.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
