  • Exceptional Multiband Compression: Provides advanced compression across multiple frequency bands for precise dynamic control.
  • Vintage Compressor Mode: Offers classic, warm compression tones reminiscent of iconic studio compressors.
  • TonePrint Enabled: Allows for custom effect settings and artist-created presets to be beamed to the pedal via a smartphone app or USB.
  • True Bypass: Ensures optimal signal integrity when the pedal is disengaged.
  • Compact Design: Durable metal chassis suitable for pedalboards.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to properly set up your HYPERGRAVITY COMPRESSOR pedal:

  1. Power Connection: Connect a standard 9V DC power supply (center negative, 100mA minimum) to the 9V DC input jack on the top of the pedal. The pedal can also be powered by a 9V battery, which requires unscrewing the back plate for installation.
  2. Input Connection: Connect your guitar or the output of a preceding effects pedal to the INPUT jack on the right side of the pedal using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  3. Output Connection: Connect the OUTPUT jack on the left side of the pedal to your amplifier or the input of the next effects pedal in your signal chain using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  4. USB Connection (Optional): For advanced TonePrint editing and firmware updates, connect a mini-USB cable from the pedal's USB port to your computer.

4.1 Controls

  • SUSTAIN: Adjusts the amount of compression applied to the signal, affecting how long notes ring out. Higher settings increase sustain.
  • ATTACK: Controls how quickly the compressor reacts to the initial transient of a note. Lower settings allow more of the initial attack to pass through, while higher settings compress the attack more quickly.
  • LEVEL: Sets the overall output volume of the pedal. Use this to match the volume of the compressed signal to your bypassed signal or to provide a boost.
  • BLEND: Mixes the dry (uncompressed) signal with the wet (compressed) signal. A setting of 0% is fully dry, and 100% is fully wet. This allows for parallel compression techniques.

4.2 Mode Switch

The three-way toggle switch selects between different compression modes:

  • SPECTRA: Engages the advanced multiband compression algorithm, providing transparent and precise dynamic control.
  • TONEPRINT: Activates a custom TonePrint preset loaded onto the pedal. This allows for personalized compression settings or artist-designed tones.
  • VINTAGE: Selects a classic, warm, and punchy compression style, emulating traditional compressor pedals.

4.3 TonePrint Functionality

TonePrint allows you to customize your pedal's sound or load presets created by professional artists. You can access TonePrints via the free TC Electronic TonePrint App for smartphones or the TonePrint Editor software for computers.

  • Beaming TonePrints (Smartphone App): Open the TonePrint App, select a TonePrint, and hold your smartphone's speaker close to your guitar pickup. The app will
