The SmartLux Digital features a versatile integrated stand:

4.5 Turning Off LEDs

The two SMD LEDs on the underside of the device provide illumination. When viewing other backlit displays, such as cell phones or tablets, these LEDs can cause glare. To avoid this, you can switch off the LEDs using the appropriate control (refer to the device's specific button layout for the LED control, often integrated with the contrast or power button, or a dedicated button).

4.6 Image Capture and Storage

The SmartLux Digital allows you to capture and store images. To capture an image, press the designated Capture button (often indicated by a camera icon or a distinct button). The device can store up to 20 images. Refer to the on-screen menu or additional instructions for viewing and managing stored images.

5. Battery and Charging

  • The device is equipped with a rechargeable battery. A full charge provides approximately 2.5 hours of continuous operation.
  • To charge, use the original power adapter. Connect it to the charging port.
  • The battery charges more quickly than previous models.
  • An automatic shut-off feature activates after 2 to 5 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Screen: The screen is hard-coated for scratch protection and has an anti-glare layer. Clean the screen gently with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Body: Wipe the body of the magnifier with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the device.

6.2 Storage

Store the SmartLux Digital in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not turn on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to the power adapter and try again. If the issue persists, locate and press the reset button (if available, often a small pinhole) using a paperclip.
  • Screen is dim or flickering: Check battery level. Adjust screen brightness settings if available. Ensure LEDs are not causing glare if viewing backlit surfaces.
  • Poor image quality: Ensure the lens is clean. Adjust the distance between the magnifier and the object for optimal focus. Cycle through magnification levels and viewing modes to find the best setting.
  • Battery drains quickly: Ensure the device is fully charged. Reduce screen brightness if possible. The auto shut-off feature should help conserve power during inactivity.
