Setup and Assembly

- Attach the Hose: Insert the end of the hose into the suction inlet on the main canister unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Connect the Telescoping Wand: Attach the handle end of the hose to the telescoping wand. Ensure a firm connection.
- Attach Cleaning Foot: Select either the Hard Floor Turbine Foot or the Multi-Surface Foot and attach it to the end of the telescoping wand.

Operating Your Vacuum
Your Bissell Hard Floor Expert vacuum is designed for powerful and versatile cleaning across various floor types.
Powering On/Off and Cord Management
- Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the power button located on the main canister unit to turn the vacuum on.
- Cord Rewind: To retract the 18-foot power cord, press the cord rewind button on the canister unit.

Using the Cleaning Feet
- Hard Floor Turbine Foot: This specialized foot is engineered for powerful pickup of pet hair, dirt, and debris on hard floors while protecting their surface.
- Multi-Surface Foot: Use this foot for excellent pickup on area rugs and carpeted floors.

Using On-Board Tools
The crevice tool and dusting brush can be attached directly to the hose handle or the telescoping wand for cleaning hard-to-reach areas, upholstery, and delicate surfaces.
Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
Emptying the Dirt Tank
The easy-empty dirt tank opens from the bottom for no-mess disposal. It is recommended to empty the dirt tank after each use or when the MAX fill line is reached.
- Ensure the vacuum is unplugged.
- Press the release button to detach the dirt tank from the main unit.
- Position the dirt tank over a trash bin and press the bottom release button to open the lid and empty contents.
- Close the bottom lid securely and reattach the dirt tank to the vacuum unit.

Filter Maintenance
The vacuum features a cartridge filter. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on cleaning or replacing the filter to maintain suction performance.
