1. Important Safety Information

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the cord, plug, or toaster in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted into a toaster as they may create a risk of fire or electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged in.
  • Do not operate the toaster unattended.

3. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed from the toaster and its slots.

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all accessories from its packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or drapes. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  3. Power Connection: Unwind the power cord completely and plug it into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage of your power supply matches the rating label on the bottom of the toaster.
  4. First Use (Burn-in): Before toasting food, operate the toaster empty for a few minutes at the highest browning setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Allow the toaster to cool down completely.

4. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel before operation.

Controls:

  • Browning Control Dial (1-6): Adjusts the desired level of browning. Setting 1 is for light toast, 6 for dark toast.
  • Stop Button (*): Immediately cancels the toasting cycle and raises the bread carriage.
  • Reheat Button (SSS): Warms up cold toast without further browning.
  • Defrost Button (): Automatically adjusts toasting time for frozen bread.
  • Toasting Lever: Lowers the bread into the toasting slots and initiates the toasting cycle.

Toasting Bread:

  1. Prepare Bread: Insert up to two slices of bread into the toasting slots. For smaller items or sandwiches, use the provided removable tongs.

  3. Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting (1-6).
  4. Lower Bread: Press the toasting lever down until it locks into place. The indicator light for the selected function (if any) will illuminate.
  5. Toasting Cycle: The toaster will automatically center the bread for even toasting. Once the cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up, and the lever will return to its original position.
  6. Retrieve Toast: Use the removable tongs to safely retrieve the hot toast.

Using Special Functions:

  • Defrost: Insert frozen bread, select your desired browning level, lower the toasting lever, then press the (Defrost) button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the toaster will adjust the cycle for frozen bread.
  • Reheat: Insert cold, previously toasted bread, lower the toasting lever, then press the SSS (Reheat) button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the toaster will warm the bread without further browning.
  • Stop: At any point during the toasting cycle, you can press the * (Stop) button to cancel the operation and raise the bread.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the life of your toaster.

Cleaning the Crumb Tray:

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster.

  4. Empty Crumbs: Discard all crumbs from the tray.
  5. Clean Tray: Wipe the tray with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  6. Reinsert Tray: Slide the crumb tray back into its position until it locks securely.

Cleaning the Exterior:

  • Ensure the toaster is unplugged and cool.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild detergent can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.

Storage:

When not in use, ensure the toaster is clean, cool, and unplugged. Store it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

6. Troubleshooting
