Control Panel Layout:

Setup

Powering the Unit:

Battery Power:

3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4. When using batteries, disconnect the AC power cord.

Antenna Setup:

For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in antenna, so no external adjustment is needed.

Operating Instructions

General Operation:

• Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
• Volume Adjustment: Rotate the VOLUME knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease.
• Mode Selection: Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through available functions: CD, USB, Bluetooth, AUX, AM/FM, and Cassette.

CD Player Operation:

1. Press the MODE button to select CD mode.
2. Open the CD compartment door and place a CD (label side up) onto the spindle. Close the door securely.
3. The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
4. Press PLAY/PAUSE to pause playback, press again to resume.
5. Press STOP to stop playback.
6. Press SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD to navigate between tracks.

Cassette Player/Recorder Operation:

1. Press the MODE button to select Cassette mode.
2. Press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette compartment. Insert a cassette tape.
3. Press PLAY to begin playback.
4. Use FAST FORWARD or REWIND to quickly move through the tape.
5. To record from radio, CD, or AUX input: Select the desired source mode (e.g., FM radio). Press the RECORD button on the cassette deck. The unit will automatically start recording the audio from the selected source. Press STOP to end recording.

AM/FM Radio Operation:

1. Press the MODE button to select AM/FM radio mode.
2. Extend the telescopic antenna for FM reception.
3. Rotate the TUNING knob to manually tune to your desired radio station. The frequency will be displayed on the LCD.

Bluetooth Operation:

1. Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. The LCD display will show "BT" and the unit will emit an audible pairing tone, indicating it is ready to pair.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
3. Search for available Bluetooth devices. Select "QFX J-49U" or similar from the list.
4. Once paired, the unit will confirm with an audible tone. You can now play audio from your device through the boombox.

USB Playback:

1. Insert a USB flash drive (containing MP3 audio files) into the USB port.

4. Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Skip) to manage your music.

AUX Input:

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the boombox.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
