Safety Information
Important Safety Instructions:
- Do not open the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Product Overview
The Bose PLS-1310 is an integrated audio component featuring a CD player, FM/AM tuner, and amplifier. It is designed to deliver high-quality audio playback and amplification for your home audio system.
Ventilation
The unit is equipped with ventilation grilles on the top surface to ensure proper heat dissipation. Do not obstruct these grilles during operation.

Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Bose PLS-1310 unit:
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture.
- Speaker Connection: Connect your speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). The amplifier supports 6Ω speakers.
- Audio Input Connection:
- For external audio sources (e.g., tape deck, auxiliary device), connect them to the AUX or TAPE input jacks on the rear panel using RCA cables.
- The unit also features a digital optical output for CD playback, allowing connection to an external DAC or digital recorder.
- Antenna Connection: Connect FM and AM antennas to their respective terminals for radio reception.
- Power Connection: Ensure all audio connections are secure before plugging the power cord into a suitable AC outlet (100V, 50/60Hz).
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Press the MAIN POWER switch on the rear panel to the ON position.
- Use the front panel power button or the remote control to turn the unit on or off during normal operation.
CD Playback
- Press the CD function button.
- Open the CD tray, place a CD with the label side up, and close the tray.
- Press the Play button to start playback.
- Use the Skip, Search, Pause, and Stop buttons for CD control.
Tuner Operation (FM/AM Radio)
- Press the TUNER function button.
- Select FM or AM band.
- Use the tuning controls to select your desired station. The FM frequency range is 76.0-90.0 MHz (100kHz step), and AM is 522-1629 kHz (9kHz step).
- Preset stations can be stored and recalled for convenience.
Amplifier Functions
- Source Selection: Use the input selector to choose between CD, Tuner, AUX, or TAPE inputs.
- Volume Control: Adjust the master volume knob or use the remote control.
- Tone Controls: Adjust Bass, Treble, and Balance as desired.
- Headphone Output: Connect headphones to the front panel jack for private listening.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation grilles are free from dust and obstructions.
- CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
- Servicing: If the unit requires service, contact an authorized Bose service center. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
