Maintenance

Cleaning the Tool

Regularly clean the tool to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the tool's internal components. Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.

Battery Care

The Dremel Micro uses a high-capacity 8V Lithium-Ion battery. This battery technology offers longer run times and has no memory effect, meaning it can be charged at any time without reducing its overall capacity. Store the tool in its docking station to keep the battery continually charged and ready for use.

Troubleshooting

Tool Not Turning On

  • Check Battery Charge: Ensure the tool is fully charged. Place it in the docking station and observe the battery indicator lights.
  • Power Button: Confirm the power button is pressed firmly.

Reduced Performance/Speed Fluctuations

  • Accessory Condition: Check if the accessory is worn out or damaged. Replace if necessary.
  • Accessory Installation: Ensure the accessory is securely tightened in the collet. A loose accessory can cause vibration and reduced efficiency.
  • Overload: Avoid applying excessive pressure, which can slow down the motor. Let the tool do the work.
  • Battery Level: A low battery can lead to reduced power. Recharge the tool.

Tool Overheating

  • Ventilation: Ensure the tool's ventilation slots are not blocked by dust or debris.
  • Continuous Use: Allow the tool to cool down if used for extended periods.
