Important Safety Instructions

• Always ensure the voltage indicated on the iron matches your local mains voltage (220-240V).
• Do not immerse the iron, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Unplug the iron from the power outlet when filling with water, emptying, or when not in use.
• Do not leave a hot iron unattended.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the iron and all accessories (measuring cup, brush attachment, travel pouch) from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
2. First Use Preparation: Before first use, wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth to remove any manufacturing residue.
3. Filling the Water Tank:

   Ensure the iron is unplugged. Open the water tank cover located on the top of the iron. Use the provided measuring cup to fill the 50ml water tank with distilled or demineralized water. Do not overfill. Close the water tank cover securely.

4. Connecting to Power: Plug the iron into a suitable 220-240V power outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the iron is heating up.

Operating Instructions

1. Temperature Selection:

   Rotate the temperature dial on the top of the iron to select the desired heat setting for your fabric. The iron heats up quickly due to its 375W power. Refer to the fabric care labels on your garments for recommended ironing temperatures.

   • Low Temperature (approx. 65-110°C): Suitable for delicate fabrics like silk, synthetics.
   • Medium Temperature (approx. 110-150°C): Ideal for wool, cotton blends.
   • High Temperature (approx. 150-230°C): For linen, denim, and other robust fabrics.
2. Steam Function:

   Once the iron has reached the selected temperature, press the steam button located on the top of the handle to release a burst of steam. This helps to remove stubborn wrinkles. For continuous steam, ensure the water tank is filled and the iron is at a high enough temperature setting.

3. Using the Brush Attachment:

   The included brush attachment can be used for vertical steaming or to remove lint and dust from garments. Attach the brush securely to the soleplate before heating the iron. Use gentle strokes while steaming vertically.

4. Versatile Applications:

   Beyond travel, the Duronic SI2 iron is also perfect for various crafting activities such as quilting, appliqué, and working with fusible beads, offering precision and ease of use for small details.

5. Ironing Tips:
   • Always iron fabrics from lowest to highest temperature setting to prevent damage.
   • For delicate fabrics, iron on the reverse side or use a pressing cloth.
   • The non-stick soleplate ensures smooth gliding over various materials.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Soleplate:

  After the iron has cooled down completely, wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the non-stick coating.

• Draining the Water Tank:

  After each use, or before storing, ensure the water tank is emptied. Unplug the iron, allow it to cool, then open the water tank cover and carefully drain any remaining water.

• Storage:

  Once the iron is completely cool and dry, wrap the cord around the base. Store the iron in its provided travel pouch in a dry, safe place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
