4. Setup and Initial Operation
4.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove the pallet jack from its packaging.
- Inspect for any visible damage that may have occurred during shipping. Report any damage to the carrier and supplier immediately.
- Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.
4.2 Battery Charging
The Eoslift W20 comes with two maintenance-free batteries. For optimal performance and battery life, fully charge the batteries before initial use.
- Locate the charging port on the pallet jack.
- Connect the charger to the pallet jack's charging port.
- Plug the charger into a suitable power outlet (24V/210Ah).
- Allow the batteries to charge completely. Refer to the charger's indicator lights for charge status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the pallet jack and the power outlet.
Important: Always ensure the emergency stop button is engaged (pushed in) before connecting or disconnecting the charger.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Tiller Handle Controls

Figure 5.1: The tiller handle of the Eoslift W20 Electric Pallet Jack. This image details the control panel on the tiller, including the horn button (yellow), lift/lower controls (orange buttons), and the ergonomic grips for steering and operation.
- Drive Control: The butterfly switches on the tiller head control forward and reverse movement. Push forward for forward motion, pull back for reverse. The speed is proportional to the switch deflection.
- Lift/Lower Controls: Buttons located on the tiller head (typically orange) control the hydraulic lift and lower functions of the forks.
- Horn: The yellow button on the tiller head activates the horn to alert others.
- Emergency Reverse Button: Located at the tip of the tiller head, this button provides an emergency reverse function to prevent the operator from being pinned.
5.2 Starting the Pallet Jack
- Ensure the emergency stop button is released (pulled out).
- Turn the key switch (if present) to the "ON" position.
- The battery indicator will show the current charge level.
5.3 Moving and Lifting Loads
- Position the pallet jack squarely in front of the pallet.
- Lower the forks completely using the lower control button.
- Slowly drive the pallet jack forward, inserting the forks fully into the pallet.
- Use the lift control button to raise the forks until the pallet is clear of the ground.
- Carefully transport the load, maintaining a safe speed and clear visibility.
- To deposit the load, position the pallet over the desired location, then use the lower control button to gently set the pallet down.
- Once the pallet is on the ground, lower the forks completely and slowly back out the pallet jack.
Note: Always operate the pallet jack with the tiller in the operating range (between vertical and horizontal positions) to ensure proper braking and control.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your Eoslift W20 Electric Pallet Jack.
6.1 Daily Checks
- Check battery charge level.
- Inspect for any visible damage, leaks, or loose fasteners.
- Verify proper function of all controls (drive, lift, lower, horn, emergency stop).
- Check wheels for wear or damage.
6.2 Battery Care
The Eoslift W20 uses maintenance-free batteries (24V/210Ah). While they do not require water refilling, proper charging practices are essential.
- Always fully charge batteries after each shift or when the charge indicator shows low.
- Avoid deep discharging the batteries, as this can reduce their lifespan.
- Charge in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep battery terminals clean and free of corrosion.
6.3 General Maintenance
- Keep the pallet jack clean, especially the control panel and moving parts.
- Periodically check hydraulic fluid levels (refer to service manual for specific instructions).
- Ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened to specifications.
- Schedule regular professional inspections and servicing.
