  5. Water Filling: Fill the water channels at the bottom of the incubation container with distilled or demineralized water using the provided water bottle. This is crucial for humidity regulation. Start with a small amount and adjust as needed.

Operating Instructions

Initial Settings and Pre-heating

  1. Set Temperature: The integrated temperature control allows precise adjustment. The recommended temperature for most poultry eggs is between 37.5°C and 38°C. Adjust the temperature using the control panel buttons. The current values are clearly displayed on the LED screen.
  2. Humidity Regulation: The incubator features humidity regulation. Monitor the humidity level on the LED display. Adjust humidity by adding or removing water from the water channels.
  3. Pre-heating: Allow the incubator to run for at least 2-3 hours (or preferably 24 hours) with the desired temperature and humidity settings before placing eggs inside. This stabilizes the internal environment.

Egg Placement and Incubation

  1. Egg Selection: Use clean, fertile eggs of appropriate size for the incubator. The incubator can hold up to 48 standard chicken eggs.
  2. Placing Eggs: Carefully place the eggs into the designated slots in the egg turning tray.
  3. Automatic Turning System: The incubator features a fully automatic turning system that ensures eggs are turned regularly without manual intervention. This automatic function promotes even heating and optimal embryo development. The system typically turns eggs every 90 minutes.
    Automatic egg turning mechanism

Image: A close-up view of the automatic egg turning mechanism, showing how the egg tray rotates to gently turn the eggs.

  4. Monitoring: Continuously monitor the temperature and humidity levels on the LED display. The large observation window allows you to check the progress of the incubation process without opening the machine, helping to maintain stable conditions.
  5. Candling Eggs: Use the included LED candling lamp to periodically check the development of the embryos. This allows you to identify infertile eggs or those with arrested development.
LED candling lamp and egg development stages

Image: The incubator shown with an LED candling lamp, illustrating different stages of embryo development visible through candling.

  6. Stopping Rotation: Stop the automatic egg rotation 3-4 days before the expected hatching date. This allows the chicks to position themselves for hatching.
  7. Hatching: During the last few days, increase humidity slightly. Do not open the incubator frequently during hatching to maintain stable conditions.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each incubation cycle, disconnect the power and thoroughly clean all parts of the incubator. Use a mild disinfectant solution. Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembly or storage.
  • Water Channels: Regularly clean the water channels to prevent algae or bacterial growth.
  • Storage: Store the incubator in a dry, clean, and dust-free place, protected from extreme heat and direct sunlight.
