WilTec Automatic 96-Egg Incubator User Manual

Model: 50041

Introduction

This WilTec Automatic 96-Egg Incubator is designed for efficient and precise artificial egg incubation, ideal for large batches. It features electronic temperature control, ensuring a highly accurate temperature range between 25°C and 39.5°C. With proper and careful handling, this incubator facilitates successful hatching series and a high rate of healthy chicks. It is suitable for various poultry eggs, including chicken, quail, and duck eggs, as well as reptile eggs. Always consider the specific size and incubation temperature requirements for each type of egg.

The fully automatic system manages the desired incubation temperature and includes an automatic tilting turning device, eliminating the need for manual egg turning. Eggs are gently tilted back and forth along their longitudinal axis. For optimal hatching success, the automatic turning system should be deactivated 3 to 4 days before the expected hatching date, as eggs should not be turned during this final period.

The incubator automatically regulates key incubation processes such as incubation time, egg turning, and provides an alarm for temperature deviations. Temperature settings, turning intervals, and batch duration are fully programmable.

Setup

  1. Unpack the Incubator: Carefully remove the incubator and all its components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
  2. Choose a Location: Place the incubator on a stable, level surface in a room with a consistent ambient temperature, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or extreme temperature fluctuations.
  3. Add Water: Fill the designated water trays at the bottom of the incubator with distilled or demineralized water to achieve the desired humidity level. Refer to the operating instructions for specific humidity requirements for your egg type.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the incubator into a suitable power outlet (230 Volts).
  5. Pre-heat: Allow the incubator to run for at least 2-3 hours (or as recommended for your specific egg type) before placing eggs inside. This allows the internal temperature and humidity to stabilize.

Operating Instructions

  1. Set Temperature: Use the control panel to set the desired incubation temperature, typically between 25°C and 39.5°C. Consult specific guidelines for the type of eggs you are incubating.
  2. Place Eggs: Carefully place the fertilized eggs into the egg turning trays. Ensure they are positioned correctly for the automatic turning mechanism.
  3. Automatic Turning: The incubator is equipped with an automatic rotation system that simulates the natural turning movements of a hen. This system will operate automatically based on programmed intervals.
  4. Monitor Humidity: Regularly check the humidity level displayed on the LED indicator. Adjust humidity by adding or removing water from the trays as needed.
  5. Deactivate Turning Before Hatching: Approximately 3 to 4 days before the expected hatching date, turn off the automatic rotation system. Eggs should not be turned during this final stage to allow the chicks to position themselves for hatching.
  6. Monitor Incubation Progress: Continuously monitor the temperature, humidity, and incubation time displayed on the LED indicators throughout the entire incubation period. The incubator will alert you to significant deviations from target settings.

Troubleshooting

This section provides general guidance for common issues. For persistent problems, contact customer support.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Temperature FluctuationsUnstable room temperature, incubator lid not sealed properly, fan obstruction.Ensure stable ambient temperature. Check lid for proper closure. Clear any obstructions around the fan.
Humidity Too Low/HighInsufficient/excessive water in trays, improper ventilation.Adjust water level in trays. Ensure vents are not blocked.
Eggs Not TurningTurning mechanism off, eggs improperly placed, motor issue.Verify automatic turning is enabled. Reposition eggs. If problem persists, contact support.
Low Hatch RateIncorrect temperature/humidity, infertile eggs, poor egg quality.Double-check temperature and humidity settings. Ensure eggs are fertile and of good quality.
