5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your watch:
- Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the plastic and polyurethane materials.
- For stubborn dirt on the silicone strap, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
5.2. Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet), or 5 ATM. This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-pressure water activities. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
5.3. Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, the battery may need replacement. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance. Refer to the specifications for battery type.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your watch, consider the following:
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Consider professional battery replacement.
- Buttons are hard to press or unresponsive: Ensure the watch is clean and free of debris around the buttons. If the issue persists, it may indicate a mechanical problem requiring professional inspection.
- Time is inaccurate: Re-set the time following the instructions in Section 3. If the watch consistently loses or gains significant time, the internal mechanism may require servicing.
- Water inside the watch: If moisture appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and seek professional service to prevent further damage.
