4. Setup

4.1 Mobile Stand Assembly

Follow the instructions provided with the mobile stand for proper assembly. Ensure all components are securely fastened before mounting the device.

  1. Attach the base to the pole, ensuring it is stable.
  2. Secure the device mounting bracket to the top of the pole.
  3. Mount the Connex ProBP 3400 device onto the bracket, ensuring it clicks into place or is secured with the provided screws.

4.2 Battery Installation and Charging

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Patient Preparation

For accurate readings, ensure the patient is relaxed, seated comfortably with their back supported, and their arm supported at heart level. Avoid talking or moving during the measurement.

5.2 Cuff Placement

  1. Select the appropriate cuff size for the patient's arm circumference. The cuff bladder should encircle at least 80% of the arm.
  2. Wrap the cuff firmly around the patient's bare upper arm, approximately 1-2 cm above the elbow joint. The artery mark on the cuff should align with the brachial artery.
  3. Ensure the cuff is not too tight or too loose.

5.3 Taking a Blood Pressure Reading

  1. Turn on the Connex ProBP 3400 device.
  2. Ensure the cuff is correctly placed and connected.
  3. Press the START button on the device. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. The device will detect the blood pressure and display the systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate readings on the screen.
  5. The device is designed to obtain accurate readings even in the presence of some motion or a weak pulse.
  6. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate.
