Top Panel Controls

- Bluetooth Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Volume Down (-): Decreases the audio volume.
- Power Button: Turns the speaker on or off.
- JBL Connect Button: Connects multiple JBL Connect-enabled speakers.
- Volume Up (+): Increases the audio volume.
- Play/Pause Button: Controls audio playback (play, pause, skip tracks).

- Power Input: Connect the included power adapter to charge the speaker.
- USB Ports (x2): Use these ports to charge external devices like smartphones or tablets.
- Auxiliary Input: Connect audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
Setup
Charging the Speaker
- Open the zippered compartment on the rear of the speaker.
- Connect the power adapter to the speaker's power input.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- The LED indicators on the speaker will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the JBL Xtreme speaker by pressing the Power button.
- Press the Bluetooth button on the top panel. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- On your smartphone or tablet, go to the Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Xtreme" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will glow solid blue, and you will hear an audible confirmation.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press the Power button on the top panel to turn the speaker on or off.
Adjusting Volume
Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the top panel to adjust the speaker's volume.
Music Playback
- Press the Play/Pause button once to play or pause music.
- Press the Play/Pause button twice to skip to the next track.
- Press the Play/Pause button three times to go back to the previous track.
Speakerphone Function
When connected to a smartphone, the JBL Xtreme can be used as a speakerphone. Press the Play/Pause button to answer or end a call. The speaker features noise and echo-canceling technology for clear calls.
JBL Connect
The JBL Connect feature allows you to wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect-enabled speakers together to amplify the listening experience. Press the JBL Connect button on all desired speakers to link them.
Maintenance
Water Resistance
Important Note:
The JBL Xtreme is NOT waterproof and is NOT rated as water-resistant. Avoid exposing the speaker to water or moisture to prevent damage. Ensure the rear zippered compartment is securely closed to protect the ports from dust and splashes.
Cleaning
To clean the speaker, use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these may damage the finish or fabric.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect the power adapter and allow it to charge for a few minutes before attempting to power on.
- Cannot Pair via Bluetooth: Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (Bluetooth indicator flashing). Check that your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within range. Try restarting both the speaker and your device.
- No Sound: Check the volume levels on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the speaker is properly paired via Bluetooth or connected via the auxiliary input.
- Poor Sound Quality: Move the speaker closer to your Bluetooth device to reduce interference. Ensure there are no obstructions between the speaker and the device.
