  • Compact and space-saving design.
  • Dual polarization support.
  • Reception power equivalent to a 60 cm offset antenna.
  • Suitable for mobile applications.
  • Easy and quick installation.
  • Waterproof construction.

Setup and Installation

The Humax H40D antenna can be installed in minutes. The provided mounting material allows for secure and discreet installation options, including wall and mast mounting.

1. Choosing an Installation Location

3. Connecting the LNB

Connect the coaxial cable from your satellite receiver to the LNB (Low Noise Block) output on the antenna. Ensure the connection is secure and waterproof.

Operating Instructions

1. Satellite Alignment

After physical installation, the antenna requires precise alignment to receive satellite signals. This process involves adjusting the antenna's azimuth (horizontal angle) and elevation (vertical angle).

  • Use the provided compass to determine the approximate direction of the desired satellite (e.g., Astra 19.2°E, Hotbird 13°E).
  • Connect the antenna to your satellite receiver and TV. Access the signal strength/quality meter on your receiver.
  • Slowly adjust the antenna horizontally and vertically until maximum signal strength and quality are achieved. Fine-tuning is crucial for optimal reception, especially in adverse weather conditions.

Maintenance

The Humax H40D antenna is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the antenna surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or debris that might accumulate and affect signal reception. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all mounting points and cable connections for security and signs of wear or corrosion. Tighten any loose screws.
  • Obstruction Check: Ensure no new obstacles (e.g., growing trees, new constructions) are blocking the line of sight to the satellite.
