4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Assembly

  1. Carefully remove the miter saw and all components from the packaging.

  5. Place the new 10-inch blade (with a 5/8-inch arbor hole) onto the arbor, ensuring the teeth are pointing downwards towards the front of the saw.
  6. Replace the outer flange and arbor nut. Tighten the arbor nut counter-clockwise (reverse thread) while holding the spindle lock. Do not overtighten.
  7. Release the spindle lock and check that the blade rotates freely.

4.3 Laser Guide Adjustment

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To turn the saw ON, press the trigger switch located on the handle.
  • For continuous operation, press the continuous action button while the trigger is depressed. Release the trigger to stop the saw.
  • To turn the saw OFF, release the trigger switch. If the continuous action button is engaged, press the trigger again briefly to disengage it.

5.2 Adjusting Miter Angles

The saw base can be adjusted 45 degrees to the left and right for miter cuts.

  1. Loosen the miter lock knob/lever on the front of the saw.
  2. Rotate the turntable to the desired angle, indicated on the miter scale.
  3. Tighten the miter lock knob/lever firmly to secure the angle.

5.3 Adjusting Bevel Angles

The saw head can be tilted for bevel cuts up to 45 degrees.

  1. Loosen the bevel lock knob, usually located at the rear of the saw.
  2. Tilt the saw head to the desired bevel angle, indicated on the bevel scale.
  3. Tighten the bevel lock knob securely.

5.4 Using the Telescopic Arm

The telescopic arm allows for extended cutting capacity, up to 12 inches at a 90-degree angle.

  • To extend the arm, pull the saw head forward.
  • Ensure the arm slides smoothly. Do not force it.
  • For standard cuts, the arm can be pushed back.

5.5 Cutting Procedures

  1. Secure Workpiece: Always clamp the workpiece firmly against the fence and the saw base.
  2. Align Cut: Use the laser guide to align the blade with your cut line.
  3. Start Saw: Press the trigger and allow the blade to reach full speed (4,500 RPM).
  4. Make Cut: Slowly and steadily lower the saw head through the workpiece. For wider pieces, utilize the telescopic arm by pulling the saw head forward as you cut.
  5. Retract Blade: Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before raising the saw head.
  6. Remove Workpiece: Only remove the cut material after the blade has come to a complete stop.
