Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your angle grinder for use:

Loosen the screw on the protective guard. Position the guard over the spindle housing so that it covers the disc and directs sparks away from you. Tighten the screw securely. Ensure the guard is firmly in place and cannot rotate freely.

Operating Instructions

Before starting, ensure you are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and a dust mask.

  1. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Starting the Grinder: Hold the grinder firmly with both hands, one on the main body and one on the side handle. Press the On/Off switch to start the tool. Allow the disc to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
  3. Grinding/Cutting: Apply light, even pressure to the workpiece. Do not force the tool. For grinding, maintain a small angle (typically 15-30 degrees) between the disc and the workpiece. For cutting, hold the disc perpendicular to the workpiece and make straight cuts.
  4. Stopping the Grinder: Release the On/Off switch to turn off the tool. Wait for the disc to come to a complete stop before setting the tool down.
