Setup
1. Battery Installation
Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the recorder. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the cover securely.
2. Power On/Off
Slide the POWER switch located on the side of the device to turn it on or off.
3. Initial Settings
Upon first power-on, the device may prompt you to set the date and time. Use the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right) and the OK button to adjust these settings.
4. MicroSD Card (Optional)
If you wish to expand storage, insert a microSD card into the designated slot on the side of the recorder until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
Operating Instructions
1. Recording Audio
- Press the REC button (red circle) to start recording. The REC indicator will light up.
- To pause recording, press the REC button again. Press it once more to resume.
- To stop recording, press the STOP button. The recorded file will be saved automatically.
2. Playing Back Recordings
- Navigate through your saved files using the FOLDER/INDEX button and the navigation arrows.
- Select the desired file and press the OK/PLAY button to begin playback.
- Press STOP to end playback.
- Adjust volume using the + and - buttons on the navigation pad.
3. Using the Menu
Press the MENU button to access various settings such as recording mode, scene selection, and file management options. Use the navigation buttons to select options and OK to confirm.
4. Headphone Use
Plug 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack on the side of the device to listen to recordings privately.
5. Using the Built-in Stand
The recorder features a small retractable stand on its back. Gently pull it out to prop the device at an angle, which can be useful for stable recording on flat surfaces.
6. Transferring Files to a Computer
Slide the USB connector release button on the top of the device to extend the built-in USB plug. Insert the USB plug directly into a USB port on your computer. The recorder will be recognized as a removable drive, allowing you to drag and drop files.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
Battery Care
Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
Storage
Store the recorder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
Device does not power on
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the proper polarity.
- Replace with fresh AAA batteries.
- Ensure the POWER switch is in the ON position.
Poor recording quality
- Ensure the microphones are not obstructed.
- Adjust the microphone sensitivity settings in the menu.
- Record in a quieter environment.
Cannot transfer files to computer
- Ensure the USB connector is fully extended and securely plugged into the computer's USB port.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Restart both the recorder and the computer.
