Maintenance

1. Replacing the Dust Bag

The dust bag should be replaced when the dust bag indicator turns red, or when suction power noticeably decreases. Even if the bag is not full, it should be replaced if it has been used for a long period or if unpleasant odors occur.

  1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.
  2. Open the dust bag compartment cover.
  3. Carefully remove the full dust bag by pulling the cardboard collar. The bag opening will automatically seal.
  4. Dispose of the full dust bag responsibly.
  5. Insert a new Severin original dust bag into the holder, ensuring the cardboard collar is fully seated.
  6. Close the dust bag compartment cover securely until it clicks.

2. Cleaning/Replacing Filters

Regular cleaning and replacement of filters are crucial for maintaining optimal suction power and air quality.

Motor Protection Filter:

  • Open the dust bag compartment.
  • Remove the motor protection filter.
  • Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust. If heavily soiled, replace it.
  • Reinsert the clean or new filter and close the compartment.

HEPA 14 Activated Carbon Exhaust Filter:

This filter cleans the exhaust air and neutralizes odors. It should be replaced approximately once a year, or more frequently with heavy use or pet ownership.

  • Locate the exhaust filter compartment, typically at the rear of the vacuum cleaner.
  • Open the filter cover.
  • Remove the old HEPA filter.
  • Insert a new HEPA 14 activated carbon filter.
  • Close the filter cover securely.

3. Cleaning the Appliance

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodically check the floor nozzle and other attachments for blockages (e.g., hair, threads) and remove them.
