Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press the POWER button located on the control panel to turn the keyboard on or off. The LCD display will illuminate upon power-on.
Basic Playback
Simply press the keys to play notes. The keyboard features 61-keyboard percussion, allowing you to trigger various drum sounds directly from the keys. Additionally, 8-panel percussion pads are available for quick access to percussion sounds.
Selecting Rhythms and Timbres
Use the dedicated RHYTHM and TIMBRE selection buttons or the numeric keypad to choose from 200 rhythms and 162 timbres. The selected rhythm and timbre will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Volume and Tempo Control
Adjust the overall sound level using the VOLUME controls. The TEMPO controls allow you to increase or decrease the speed of selected rhythms and learning songs.
Learning Songs and Demonstration Songs
The keyboard includes 100 learning songs and 2 demonstration songs. Refer to the specific buttons on the control panel (e.g., SONG, DEMO) and the LCD display to select and play these pre-programmed pieces.
Touch Sensitivity
This feature allows the keyboard to respond to the force with which you press the keys. Playing softer produces a quieter sound, while playing harder produces a louder sound, mimicking the dynamics of an acoustic piano.
Record/Playback Function
Use the RECORD button to capture your performance. Once recorded, press the PLAYBACK button to listen to your recorded piece.
Chord Function/Chord Dictionary
The keyboard offers various chord functions, such as single-finger chords or fingered chords. The built-in chord dictionary can assist in learning and identifying different chord voicings.
Programming and Editing Modes
Access specific modes to program custom rhythms or edit existing settings. Consult the LCD display for navigation within these modes.
Metronome
Activate the METRONOME function to practice with a steady, adjustable beat, aiding in rhythm and timing development.
Vibrato/Sustain/Transpose
- Vibrato: Adds a slight pitch fluctuation to notes for expressive playing.
- Sustain: Extends the decay of notes, similar to a piano's sustain pedal.
- Transpose: Shifts the pitch of the entire keyboard up or down in semitone steps without changing your finger position.
3-Lesson Feature
Utilize the built-in 3-lesson feature for guided learning, which typically includes rhythm, chord, and melody practice modes.
Pitch Bend/Vibrato Bend
If present, use the pitch bend or vibrato bend wheel/lever to smoothly alter the pitch of notes or add vibrato for expressive effects.
Keyboard Split Feature
This function allows you to divide the keyboard into two sections, each capable of playing a different voice or function, useful for duets or specific performance styles.
Memory Function
Save your preferred settings, such as rhythm, timbre, and tempo combinations, using the memory function for quick recall during performances or practice sessions.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the keyboard's surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
Storage
When not in use, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive dust. If possible, cover the keyboard with a dust cover to protect it.
General Care
Avoid dropping the instrument or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not place liquids near the keyboard to prevent spills that could damage internal electronics.
