    • Attach the brass lance to the other end of the hose. Ensure a tight connection.
    • Verify the adjustable nozzle is securely attached to the end of the brass lance.
  4. Pre-Use Inspection: Before first use, inspect all connections, hoses, and the tank for any signs of damage or leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Solution: Prepare your desired spraying solution (chemical, fertilizer, etc.) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Fill Tank: Unscrew the lid with handle and carefully pour the prepared solution into the polyethylene tank. Do not overfill beyond the maximum capacity indicator (15 L / 4 Gallons).
  3. Secure Lid: Tightly screw the lid back onto the tank to ensure a proper seal.
  4. Wear Sprayer: Place the backpack sprayer on your back, adjusting the padded straps for comfort and stability.
  5. Pressurize Tank: Operate the hand pump lever repeatedly to build pressure inside the tank. Continue pumping until resistance is felt, indicating sufficient pressure.
  6. Adjust Nozzle: Rotate the adjustable nozzle at the end of the brass lance to select the desired spray pattern (e.g., fine mist for broad coverage, jet stream for targeted application).
  7. Begin Spraying: Squeeze the trigger on the lance handle to begin spraying. Release the trigger to stop. Maintain consistent pumping to sustain pressure during operation.
  8. Depressurize: After use, or before opening the tank, always depressurize the sprayer by holding the trigger open until all pressure is released.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sprayer.

  • Cleaning After Each Use:
    • Empty any remaining solution from the tank.
    • Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
    • Fill the tank with clean water and pump it through the hose and lance to flush out any chemical residue. Repeat several times.
    • Clean the nozzle by disassembling it and rinsing with water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove blockages.
  • Seal and Gasket Inspection: Periodically inspect all seals and gaskets (e.g., NBR seals) for wear, cracks, or damage. Replace them if necessary to prevent leaks and maintain pressure.
  • Lubrication: Apply a small amount of silicone grease to the pump piston O-rings annually or as needed to ensure smooth operation and proper sealing.
  • Storage: Store the sprayer in a clean, dry, and cool place, away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Ensure the tank is empty and clean before storage.
