2. Important Safety Guidelines

Always follow basic safety precautions when using a pressure cooker to prevent personal injury and property damage. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury.

  • Read all instructions carefully before use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the pressure cooker is used near children.
  • Do not place the pressure cooker in a heated oven.
  • Exercise extreme caution when moving a pressure cooker containing hot liquids.
  • Ensure the pressure cooker is correctly assembled and the lid is securely locked before applying heat.
  • Never force the lid open. Ensure internal pressure is completely released before opening.
  • Do not use the pressure cooker for purposes other than its intended use.
  • Regularly inspect all safety devices for proper functioning.
  • Do not fill the pressure cooker more than two-thirds full. For foods that expand (e.g., rice, dried vegetables), do not fill more than half full.
  • This pressure cooker is equipped with a Triple Safety System: a rotating valve, a pressure-release valve, and a safety locking bar. The progressive locking system with a rotating knob ensures secure operation.

  • Pot Body: Made from high-quality 18/10 stainless steel with a 5-layer encapsulated base for even heat distribution.
  • Lid: Features a progressive locking system.
  • Main Handle: Ergonomic soft-touch handle for secure grip.
  • Side Grips: Heat-resistant for comfortable handling.
  • Rotating Valve (Jigger Valve): Regulates pressure during cooking.
  • Pressure-Release Valve: Secondary safety mechanism.
  • Safety Locking Bar: Prevents opening when under pressure.
  • Sealing Gasket: Ensures an airtight seal between the lid and pot.

4. Initial Setup and Preparation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, labels, and protective films from the pressure cooker.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the pot body, lid, and all removable parts (gasket, valves) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Gasket Installation: Ensure the sealing gasket is correctly seated inside the lid rim. It should be flexible and free from cracks or damage.
  4. Valve Check: Verify that the rotating valve and pressure-release valve are clear and free from any obstructions.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Filling the Pressure Cooker

  • Add your ingredients and the required amount of liquid to the pot.
  • Do not fill the pressure cooker more than two-thirds (2/3) full. For foods that expand during cooking (e.g., rice, dried beans, grains), do not fill more than half (1/2) full.
  • The interior of the pot has engraved fill level indicators for MAX and 1/2.

5.2. Securing the Lid

  1. Place the lid onto the pot, aligning the lid handles with the pot handles.
  2. Rotate the knob on the lid handle clockwise until it locks securely into place. Ensure the safety locking bar is engaged. The lid should not be able to rotate or lift.

5.3. Heating and Pressure Cooking

  • Place the pressure cooker on a suitable stovetop burner. This cooker is compatible with gas, electric, ceramic, and induction stovetops.
  • Set the heat to high. Once pressure begins to build, steam will escape from the rotating valve.
  • Reduce the heat to maintain a steady, gentle release of steam from the valve. This indicates that the desired cooking pressure (8 PSI / 55 kPa) has been reached.
  • Begin timing your recipe from this point.

5.4. Releasing Pressure

There are two primary methods for releasing pressure:

  • Natural Release: Remove the pressure cooker from heat and allow it to cool down naturally. Pressure will gradually decrease. This method is ideal for foods that benefit from additional cooking time, such as stews and roasts.
  • Quick Release: For faster pressure release, carefully turn the rotating valve to the steam release position. Exercise extreme caution as hot steam will be rapidly discharged. This method is suitable for delicate foods like vegetables.

Important: Never attempt to open the lid until all pressure has been released. The safety locking bar will prevent the lid from opening if pressure remains inside.

5.5. Opening the Pressure Cooker

Once all pressure has been released (the safety locking bar will drop), rotate the lid knob counter-clockwise to unlock and carefully remove the lid, tilting it away from you to avoid residual steam.

6. Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, wash all parts of the pressure cooker. The pot body is dishwasher safe. Hand wash the lid and gasket to prolong their lifespan.
  • Gasket Care: Remove the gasket from the lid for cleaning. Ensure it is clean and dry before re-inserting. Replace the gasket annually or if it shows signs of wear, cracking, or loss of elasticity.
  • Valve Cleaning: Periodically check and clean the rotating valve and pressure-release valve to ensure they are free from food particles or blockages.
  • Storage: Store the pressure cooker with the lid inverted or slightly ajar to prevent the gasket from compressing and losing its seal over time.
  • Material: The pressure cooker is constructed from durable 18/10 stainless steel, which is resistant to wear and corrosion.

7. Troubleshooting Guide

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Pressure not building or steam escaping from lid edge.Lid not properly sealed; gasket worn or misplaced; insufficient liquid.Ensure lid is securely locked. Check gasket for proper placement and condition. Add more liquid if necessary.
Lid cannot be opened after cooking.Pressure still inside the cooker.Allow pressure to release completely (natural or quick release) until the safety locking bar drops. Do not force.
Food is undercooked.Insufficient cooking time; heat too low; pressure not maintained.Increase cooking time. Ensure heat is sufficient to maintain steady steam release.
Food is overcooked.Excessive cooking time.Reduce cooking time for future preparations.
