Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your portable air conditioner:
- Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface, ensuring there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Exhaust Hose Installation:
- Screw one end of the exhaust hose into the hose connector.
- Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the window exhaust adapter.
- Insert the hose connector into the exhaust outlet on the back of the unit.
- Window Kit Installation:
- Adjust the window sealing plate kit to fit your window opening.
- Secure the window kit in place.
- Insert the window exhaust adapter (with hose attached) into the opening of the window kit.
- Ensure the window is sealed around the kit to prevent air leakage.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Your SHINCO YPN-09C can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the remote control.
Control Panel Functions:

- Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
- Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

- Unit Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, drain all water, clean the filter, and cover the unit to protect it from dust.
