Setup and Initial Winding

Your FORSINING WR70 watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement, meaning it does not require a battery. It powers automatically with the movement of your arm. For initial setup or if the watch has stopped, follow these steps:

  1. Initial Winding: To start the watch, gently hand-wind the crown clockwise approximately 15 full turns. This builds up the initial power reserve.
  2. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the furthest position. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to secure the setting.
  3. Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the middle position. Turn the crown to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this is when the date change mechanism is engaged and could cause damage. Push the crown back in after setting.

Operating Your Automatic Watch

Once initially wound, your watch will continue to operate as long as it is worn regularly. The movement of your arm keeps the mainspring wound.

  • Daily Wear: If you wear the watch for more than 10 hours each day, extra winding will generally not be necessary.
  • Power Reserve: If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop. Simply hand-wind it again as described in the 'Setup' section to restart it.
  • Calendar Function: The watch features a complete calendar. All small arrows and sub-dials on the watch face are functional and display calendar information.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care will help preserve the appearance and function of your FORSINING WR70 watch.

  • Water Resistance: This watch features a water-resistant structure. However, it is not suitable for swimming, diving, showering, or any activities involving immersion in water. Exposure to excessive moisture or direct water jets can cause damage.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect the movement's accuracy and seals.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones), which can temporarily affect the accuracy of mechanical watches.
  • Impact: Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your watch, consider the following common solutions:

  • Watch Not Running: Ensure the watch has been sufficiently wound. Hand-wind the crown 15-20 times, then wear it for several hours to build up the power reserve.
  • Time or Date Incorrect: Reset the time and date as described in the 'Setup' section. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting.
  • Inaccurate Timekeeping: Mechanical watches can vary slightly in accuracy. If the watch is consistently gaining or losing significant time, ensure it is fully wound and has not been exposed to strong magnetic fields. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
