The device supports various schedule modes for automated recordings. Refer to the detailed digital user manual available on the ClonerAlliance website for specific instructions on setting up scheduled recordings.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ClonerAlliance Box Pro, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the device in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture.
- Avoid blocking the ventilation holes on the device to prevent overheating.
- Clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Handle cables and connectors gently to prevent damage.
- When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power adapter.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ClonerAlliance Box Pro, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Signal / "Och, something wrong!" message:
This often indicates a synchronization issue. Press and hold the 'Source' button on the device or remote for approximately 10 seconds to re-sync the input signal. Ensure all cables are securely connected and the correct input source is selected. - No Recording / Recording Errors:
Ensure your USB storage device is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. Use a high-quality USB flash drive or external hard drive. Verify that the storage device is formatted to a compatible file system (exFAT, NTFS, FAT/FAT32). - Device does not record content protected by HDCP:
The ClonerAlliance Box Pro does not support recording content protected by HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). If connected to an HDCP-protected source, it will output an error message or no signal. This is not a defect of the device. - Recorded files are split into multiple parts:
Older firmware versions or certain file system formats (like FAT32) may impose a 2GB file size limit, causing recordings longer than approximately 30 minutes to be split into multiple 2GB files. Using NTFS formatted drives can often resolve this, allowing for single, larger files. - Playback issues (e.g., slow fast-forward, always starts from beginning):
The device's playback functionality has a fixed fast-forward speed (e.g., 10x) and typically starts playback from the beginning of a file. These are inherent characteristics of the device's playback system.
