5. Troubleshooting
5.1 File Not Playing on iOS Device
- DRM Protection: The Lexar app cannot play media files protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM), such as movies purchased from iTunes or other online services. Ensure your files are DRM-free.
- File Format: Verify that the file format is supported by the Lexar app and your iOS device. Common supported formats include MP4, MOV, and M4V for video.
5.2 Large Files Not Transferring (4GB+ limit)
- FAT32 File System: The JumpDrive may be pre-formatted with FAT32, which has a 4GB file size limit. To store files larger than 4GB (e.g., high-definition movies), you will need to reformat the drive to exFAT.
- Reformatting to exFAT:
- Connect the JumpDrive to your computer.
- Backup all data from the JumpDrive to your computer, as reformatting will erase all content.
- On Windows: Right-click the drive in "This PC", select "Format...", choose "exFAT" from the "File system" dropdown, and click "Start".
- On Mac: Open "Disk Utility", select the JumpDrive, click "Erase", choose "exFAT" as the format, and click "Erase".
5.3 App Interface Issues (e.g., Landscape Mode)
- App Updates: Ensure the Lexar file management app is updated to the latest version from the App Store. Developers often release updates to improve compatibility and fix bugs.
- Restart App/Device: Close and reopen the Lexar app, or restart your iOS device, to resolve minor software glitches.
