3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to correctly assemble your juicer before use:

  1. Place the motor base on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
  2. Position the juice collector base onto the motor base, ensuring it is securely seated.
  3. Insert the stainless steel filter basket into the juice collector base. Ensure it is firmly in place and rotates freely.
  4. Place the transparent lid onto the juice collector base, aligning the locking mechanism.
  5. Attach the pulp container to the back of the juicer, underneath the pulp spout.
  6. Place the juice cup under the juice spout.
  7. Ensure the safety locking arms are engaged and locked into position. The juicer will not operate if not properly locked.

4. Operating Instructions

Prepare your ingredients and operate the juicer as follows:

4.1. Preparation of Ingredients

  • Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
  • For fruits with hard pits or large seeds (e.g., mangoes, peaches, cherries), remove them before juicing.
  • Peel citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, grapefruits) as their peels can impart a bitter taste.
  • Cut larger fruits and vegetables into pieces that fit comfortably into the wide feed chute. The 76mm diameter chute can accommodate many whole items.

4.2. Juicing Process

  1. Ensure the juicer is correctly assembled and the juice cup and pulp container are in place.
  2. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet.
  3. Turn the control dial to the desired speed setting:
    • '0': Off
    • '1': Low speed, suitable for softer fruits and vegetables (e.g., berries, tomatoes, grapes).
    • '2': High speed, suitable for harder fruits and vegetables (e.g., carrots, apples, celery).
    • 'P': Pulse function, for short bursts of maximum power. Hold the dial in this position for a few seconds, then release.
  4. With the motor running, gently feed the prepared ingredients into the feed chute using the food pusher. Do not force ingredients down.
  5. The fresh juice will flow into the juice cup, and the pulp will collect in the pulp container.
  6. When finished, turn the control dial to '0' and unplug the appliance.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your juicer.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Disassembly: Disassemble the juicer in reverse order of assembly.
  3. Cleaning Parts:
    • Rinse the transparent lid, food pusher, filter basket, juice collector base, pulp container, and juice cup under running water immediately after use.
    • Use a cleaning brush (if provided) to remove pulp from the filter basket. Ensure all mesh holes are clear to maintain juicing efficiency.
    • Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Most removable parts are dishwasher safe (top rack only), but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
  4. Cleaning Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or spray it with water.
  5. Stubborn Stains: For stubborn stains on plastic parts, a non-abrasive cleaner can be used. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the juicer. Store in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your juicer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Juicer does not turn on. Not plugged in; safety locking arms not engaged; power outage. Check power connection; ensure lid is properly locked; check household power supply.
Motor stops during operation. Overload protection activated; too much pressure on food pusher; filter basket clogged. Turn off, unplug, wait 15-30 minutes for motor to cool; reduce pressure; clean filter basket.
Poor juice extraction or excessive pulp in juice. Filter basket clogged; incorrect speed setting for ingredients. Clean filter basket thoroughly; use higher speed for harder ingredients.
Vibration or loud noise. Filter basket not properly seated or damaged; uneven surface. Ensure filter basket is correctly installed; place juicer on a stable, flat surface. Inspect filter for damage.

If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact Teesa customer support.
