Setup
Initial Charging (Tough Solar)
Your watch is equipped with Tough Solar technology, converting light into power. To ensure optimal performance, expose the watch face to light regularly. When not in use, store the watch in a location where it can receive light, such as near a window. Avoid blocking the watch face from light for extended periods.

Time Calibration (Multi-Band 6)
The watch automatically receives time calibration signals from six transmission stations worldwide (Japan x2, North America, UK, Germany, China) to maintain accurate time. For manual reception, refer to the detailed instructions in the full user manual. Ensure the watch is placed in a location where it can receive signals, typically near a window at night.

Setting Home City
To ensure correct time display and radio signal reception, set your home city. This setting determines the time zone for the main timekeeping display and influences which calibration signal the watch attempts to receive. Consult the full manual for specific button operations to set your home city.
Operating Instructions
Mode Navigation
Press the 'MODE' button (bottom left) to cycle through the watch's various modes: Timekeeping, World Time, Stopwatch, Timer, and Alarm. The current mode is indicated on the digital display.
Timekeeping Mode
This is the default mode, displaying the current time and date. The analog hands show the hour and minute, while the digital display shows the hour, minute, second, day of the week, and date.
World Time Mode
In World Time Mode, you can view the current time in 48 cities (31 time zones) around the world. Use the 'SEARCH' button (bottom right) to scroll through city codes. You can also swap your home city time with a world time city.
Stopwatch
The stopwatch measures elapsed time in 1/100-second increments, up to 60 minutes. Use the 'START/STOP' button (top right) to start and stop, and the 'RESET' button (top left) to reset. Split time measurement is also available.
Timer
The countdown timer can be set for up to 100 minutes in 1-second increments. An alarm sounds when the countdown reaches zero. Use the 'ADJUST' button (top left) to set the timer and 'START/STOP' (top right) to begin or pause.
Alarms
The watch features 5 daily alarms and an hourly time signal. Set the alarm time and activate it to sound at the designated time each day. The hourly time signal causes the watch to beep every hour on the hour.
Hand Shift Function
If the analog hands obstruct the digital display, you can temporarily shift them out of the way. This feature ensures that the digital information remains fully visible. Refer to the full manual for activation steps.

Maintenance
Water Resistance (20 BAR)
Your G-Shock watch is water-resistant to 20 BAR, meaning it can withstand water pressure equivalent to 200 meters. This makes it suitable for showering, swimming, and skin diving. However, avoid operating buttons underwater or exposing the watch to hot water, as this can compromise the seals.

Cleaning
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For resin bands, you can wash them with water and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly and dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Battery Level Indicator
The digital display includes a battery level indicator. If the indicator shows a low charge, expose the watch to bright light for an extended period to recharge it. The watch also has a power-saving function that turns off the display when left in the dark for a certain period to conserve power.
Troubleshooting
- Time is incorrect: Ensure your home city is set correctly. If the time is still off, try manual radio wave reception. If radio reception is not possible, the watch operates with normal quartz accuracy (average monthly difference of ±15 seconds).
- Digital display is hard to read: Use the hand shift function to temporarily move the analog hands away from the digital display.
- Watch is not charging: Ensure the watch face is exposed to sufficient light. Check the battery level indicator.
- No operation tone: Check if the button operation tone is set to OFF. Refer to the full manual for instructions on how to toggle this setting.
