Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your Netis E1+ as a Range Extender:
- Power On: Plug the E1+ device into a standard power outlet.
Wait until the LED light on the device starts flashing, indicating it is ready for configuration.
- Connect to Device: Using a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), go to your Wi-Fi settings. Connect to the Wi-Fi network named "netis". During the initial setup, no password is required for this connection.
Once connected, a Netis login window should automatically appear on your device's screen.
- Start Configuration: In the Netis login window, tap the "Start" tab to begin the Range Extender mode setup.
- Select Network: The device will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Tap on the name of your existing Wi-Fi network that you wish to extend.
- Enter Password: Input the password for your existing Wi-Fi network when prompted. Then, tap the "Connect" tab.
- Verify Connection: Wait until the LED light indicator on the E1+ device becomes solid. This indicates a successful connection and that the device is now extending your Wi-Fi signal.
- Connect to Extended Network: Go back to your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings. You should now see a new Wi-Fi network with "_EXT" appended to your original network name (e.g., "yournetwork_EXT"). Connect to this new network using your original Wi-Fi password.

Operating Modes
The Netis E1+ supports two primary operating modes:
- Range Extender Mode: This is the default mode. The E1+ picks up the wireless signal from your main router and expands its coverage to areas where the main router's signal may not reach, effectively eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones.
- Travel Router Mode: In this mode, the E1+ can set up a secure internal network from a DSL or cable modem. This is ideal for travelers or temporary setups where you need to share a wired internet connection wirelessly.
The Smart Signal indicator helps you find the optimal location for the range extender to ensure the best signal coverage.
The WPS button allows for quick and easy setup to connect to your main router within seconds, simplifying the extension process.
Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Netis E1+ device, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Placement: Place the device in an open area, away from obstructions like large metal objects, concrete walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation around the device to prevent overheating. Do not cover the ventilation holes.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Netis official website for any available firmware updates. Updating the firmware can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Netis E1+, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the device is securely plugged into a working power outlet. Check if the LED light is on or flashing.
- Cannot Connect to "netis" Wi-Fi:
- Make sure the E1+ is powered on and the LED is flashing.
- Try restarting the E1+ by unplugging and re-plugging it.
- Ensure your mobile device's Wi-Fi is enabled and scanning for networks.
- Range Extender Not Working (No Internet on Extended Network):
- Verify that your main router's Wi-Fi is working correctly and has internet access.
- Double-check the Wi-Fi password you entered for your main network during setup. A common issue is incorrect password entry.
- Relocate the E1+ closer to your main router to ensure it receives a strong signal to extend. The Smart Signal indicator can help.
- Restart both your main router and the E1+ device.
- If using WPS, ensure your router supports WPS and that you pressed the WPS button on both devices within the allowed timeframe.
- Slow Speed on Extended Network:
- Ensure the E1+ is placed in an optimal location, not too far from the main router and not too close to the area you want to cover.
- Check for interference from other electronic devices.
- Confirm your main router is providing adequate speed.
