Setup
1. Placement
Place the system on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
2. Power Connection
- Insert the power cord into the AC power connector on the back of the system.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.
- The system will power on and display "HELLO" on the screen.
3. Remote Control Battery

Operating Your System
Basic Controls (Remote Control)
- Power: Press the Power button to turn the system on or off.
- Volume: Use the Volume Up/Down buttons to adjust the sound level.
- Source Selection: Buttons like CD, FM/AM, Bluetooth, AUX, and Presets (1-6) allow you to switch between audio sources.
CD Playback
- Press the CD button on the remote.
- Insert a CD into the slot on the front of the system with the label side up. The system will automatically begin playing.

- Presets: Press a Preset (1-6) button on the remote to instantly play your saved music or station.
- SoundTouch App: Use the app for full control, including exploring new music, managing multiple SoundTouch systems, and adjusting settings.
Alexa Voice Control
Your Bose Wave SoundTouch Music System IV is compatible with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. To enable voice control:
- Ensure your SoundTouch system is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to the "Skills" menu and search for "Bose".
- Enable the Bose SoundTouch skill and follow the on-screen instructions to link your Bose account.
