Setup and Assembly

The Swiffer Sweeper handle comes in multiple sections that require assembly. Follow these steps to connect the handle and attach a cleaning cloth.

1. Connect Handle Sections: Align the handle sections and push them together until they click into place. Ensure all sections are securely connected to form a rigid handle.
2. Attach Cleaning Cloth: Lay a dry or wet cleaning cloth flat on the floor. Place the head of the Swiffer Sweeper onto the center of the cloth. Fold the edges of the cloth over the head and push them into the four grippers located on the top of the sweeper head.

Operating Instructions

Using Dry Sweeping Cloths

For sweeping, attach a dry sweeping cloth to the Swiffer Sweeper head. Glide the sweeper across your hard floor surfaces to collect dust, dirt, and hair. The thick dry cloths are designed to conform to floor surfaces and grout lines, trapping and locking debris.

Using Wet Mopping Cloths

For mopping, attach a wet mopping cloth to the Swiffer Sweeper head. Move the sweeper across your hard floors. The wet cloths contain a cleaning solution that dissolves dirt and grime, trapping it within the cloth's core.

Floor Compatibility

The Swiffer Sweeper is safe for use on various hard floor types, including tile, hardwood, and vinyl.

Cleaning Tight Spaces

Maintenance

Disposing of Used Cloths

After use, remove the soiled dry or wet cloth from the sweeper head and dispose of it in the trash. Do not attempt to wash or reuse disposable cloths.

Refills

When you run out of dry sweeping cloths or wet mopping cloths, purchase Swiffer brand refills. The sweeper device is designed for long-term use with replacement cloths.

Troubleshooting

Handle Assembly Difficulty

If you experience difficulty connecting the handle sections, ensure that the spring buttons are fully depressed when inserting one section into another. Apply firm, steady pressure until you hear a click, indicating a secure connection. If the handle feels loose, disassemble and re-connect the sections.

Cloth Not Staying Attached

Ensure that all four corners of the cleaning cloth are firmly tucked into the grippers on the sweeper head. If the cloth is excessively soiled or torn, replace it with a new one.
