JACKYLED 4-Pin 10mm L-Shape LED Strip Light Connectors Instruction Manual
Model: 4PIN-10MM-L
1. Product Overview
The JACKYLED 4-Pin 10mm L-Shape LED Strip Light Connectors are designed to facilitate easy and solderless connections for RGB LED strip lighting installations. This kit provides components for both 90-degree corner connections and straight extensions, offering versatility for various lighting projects.
These connectors are compatible with 4-pin, 10mm wide SMD 3528/5050 multicolor LED flexible strip lights, suitable for both waterproof and non-waterproof indoor applications.

3. Compatibility
These connectors are specifically designed for:
- LED Strip Type: 4-pin RGB LED strip lights.
- Strip Width: 10mm (0.39 inches) wide.
- LED Chip Type: SMD 3528/5050 multicolor LED flexible strip lights.
- Water Resistance: Compatible with both waterproof and non-waterproof strips for indoor use.
Important: These connectors are NOT compatible with 8mm wide LED strips or other pin configurations.

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for a secure and functional connection:
4.1. Preparing the LED Strip
- Ensure your LED strip is cut precisely at the designated cut marks.
- For waterproof LED strips, gently peel off a small section of the silicone coating from the copper contact points at the end of the strip. For non-waterproof strips, no additional preparation is needed other than cutting.
4.2. Connecting with Straight Couplers
- Open the white plastic connector clip by gently lifting the top flap.
- Align the copper contact points of the LED strip with the metal pins inside the connector. Ensure the '+' marking on the LED strip aligns with the '+' marking on the connector, and RGB align accordingly.
- Gently slide the LED strip under the metal pins until it is fully seated and makes firm contact.
- Close the top flap of the connector clip firmly until it snaps shut, securing the strip in place.
- Repeat for the other end of the straight coupler with the next LED strip segment.

Image Description: A visual guide showing three steps for a straight connection: 1) opening the connector, 2) inserting the LED strip, and 3) closing the connector, with an example of a completed straight connection.
4.3. Connecting with L-Shape Connectors for Corners
- Open two white plastic connector clips by lifting their top flaps.
- Insert one end of an L-shape circuit board into one connector clip, ensuring the copper pads align with the metal pins. Close the clip firmly.
- Insert the other end of the L-shape circuit board into the second connector clip. Close the clip firmly.
- Now, connect your LED strip segments to the open ends of the two connector clips, following the same alignment and insertion process as with straight couplers.

Image Description: A visual guide showing four steps for an L-shape corner connection: 1) opening the connector, 2) inserting the L-shape board into two connectors, 3) inserting the LED strip into the first connector, and 4) inserting the second LED strip, with an example of a completed L-shape connection.
Caution: Do not pry up the metal pins inside the connectors. Doing so may cause permanent damage and lead to poor electrical contact.
5. Operating Principles
5.1. Solderless Connection
These connectors provide a quick and secure solderless connection. The internal metal pins are designed to make direct electrical contact with the LED strip's copper pads, eliminating the need for soldering.
5.2. Flexible Polarity Alignment
The connectors are designed to function correctly even if the RGB+ markings on the connector do not perfectly match the printed order on the LED strip. The critical factor is that the '+' (positive) contact of the LED strip aligns with the '+' contact of the connector. The other pins (R, G, B) will establish the correct connection through the L-shape board's internal routing.

Image Description: Two examples of L-shape connections. The top example shows the RGB+ labels on the strip and connector aligning directly. The bottom example shows the strip inserted with a reversed RGB order relative to the connector's labels, but the '+' terminals are aligned, indicating the connection will still function correctly.
6. Maintenance
These connectors require minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Keep connections clean and free from dust or debris.
- Ensure connections remain dry, as these are rated for indoor use and are only water-resistant, not waterproof.
- Avoid placing excessive tension or strain on the connected LED strips and connectors.
7. Troubleshooting
If your LED strip lights are not functioning correctly after connection, consider the following:
- No Light or Flickering:
- Ensure the LED strip's copper contact points are fully inserted under the metal pins of the connector.
- Verify that the connector clip is firmly closed and has snapped into place.
- Check for any debris, adhesive residue, or silicone coating on the copper pads that might obstruct electrical contact.
- Confirm that the '+' (positive) marking on the LED strip aligns with the '+' marking on the connector.
- Incorrect Colors or Missing Colors:
- Re-check the alignment of all four pins (R, G, B, +). While the '+' alignment is crucial, misaligned RGB pins can lead to incorrect color display or missing colors.
- Ensure all four metal pins are making solid contact with their respective copper pads on the LED strip.
- Loose Connection:
- If the connection feels loose or intermittently fails, gently re-open the clip, re-insert the strip, and close it firmly. Avoid applying excessive force.
If issues persist after checking these points, try using a different connector from the pack to rule out a faulty component.
