Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Epson EX9200 Pro Wireless WUXGA 3LCD Projector. It covers setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device. The projector features 3200 lumens color brightness and 3200 lumens white brightness, WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, and wireless connectivity options.
Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the projector and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present:
- Epson EX9200 Pro Projector
- Power Cable
- Remote Control with Batteries
- USB Cable
- CD-ROM (Software/Documentation)
2. Placement
Position the projector on a stable, flat surface or mount it securely. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. The distance from the screen will determine the image size. Adjust the projector's feet to level the image.
3. Connecting Power
- Connect the power cable to the AC inlet on the projector's rear panel.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet.
4. Connecting Devices
The Epson EX9200 Pro offers various connectivity options. Refer to the image below for port identification.

Image: Rear panel of the Epson EX9200 Pro Projector. From left to right, the ports include the AC power inlet, USB-B (square) and USB-A (rectangular) ports, composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (white/red) RCA jacks, a VGA input, and two HDMI inputs. A speaker grille is visible on the far right.
- HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from your computer, Blu-ray player, or other HDMI-enabled device to one of the projector's HDMI ports. This supports digital video and audio.
- VGA: Connect a VGA cable from your computer's VGA output to the projector's VGA input. For audio, a separate audio cable may be required if not using HDMI.
- USB-A: For connecting USB storage devices or a USB wireless adapter.
- USB-B: For connecting to a computer for USB Display functionality.
- Composite Video/Audio: Use RCA cables for older video sources.
- Wireless: The projector supports wireless projection from laptops, tablets, or smartphones. Follow the on-screen instructions or refer to the software manual for detailed setup of wireless connectivity.
- MHL: Share HD videos directly from MHL-enabled smartphones, tablets, or streaming devices (e.g., Chromecast, Roku Streaming Stick) via an MHL-compatible HDMI port.
Operating
1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Press the power button on the projector or remote control. The power light will illuminate.
- Power Off: Press the power button again. Confirm shutdown if prompted. Allow the projector to cool down before unplugging.
2. Image Adjustment
- Focus: Rotate the focus ring on the projector lens until the image is sharp.
- Zoom: Rotate the zoom ring on the projector lens to adjust the image size.
- Keystone Correction: The projector features automatic vertical keystone correction. For manual horizontal adjustment, use the keystone slider or menu options.
3. Input Source Selection
Press the 'Source' or 'Input' button on the remote control or projector control panel to cycle through available input sources (HDMI1, HDMI2, VGA, USB, etc.).
4. Wireless Projection
To project wirelessly, ensure the projector's wireless function is enabled. Use the Epson iProjection app on your smart device or the EasyMP Network Projection software on your computer to connect and project content. Specific steps may vary based on your device and operating system.
5. Audio Output Considerations
The projector includes an integrated speaker. For enhanced audio, external speakers are recommended. If using an HDMI source, audio is typically transmitted digitally. For other sources or to use specific external audio systems, an HDMI audio extractor/splitter may be necessary to route audio to a separate sound system, especially if the projector's internal speaker is not sufficient or if a dedicated audio output jack is desired.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Projector
- Lens: Gently wipe the lens with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the lens.
- Casing: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the projector's exterior. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth slightly with water and a mild detergent, then wipe dry.
- Air Filter: Regularly check and clean the air filter to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating. Refer to the full user guide for instructions on accessing and cleaning the filter.
2. Lamp Replacement
The projector lamp has a finite lifespan. When the lamp indicator light illuminates or the image brightness significantly decreases, the lamp may need replacement. Consult the full user manual for detailed instructions on safe lamp replacement procedures and compatible lamp models.
Troubleshooting
- No Image: Ensure the projector is powered on, the input source is correctly selected, and all cables are securely connected. Check the lamp status.
- Blurry Image: Adjust the focus ring on the lens. Ensure the projector is placed at an appropriate distance from the screen.
- No Sound: Verify that the audio cables are connected correctly (if applicable) and the volume is not muted or set too low. If using HDMI, ensure the source device's audio output is configured correctly. For external audio, confirm the external system is powered on and properly connected.
- Wireless Connection Issues: Confirm the wireless adapter is installed (if external) and the projector's wireless settings are configured correctly. Ensure your device is connected to the correct network or directly to the projector's wireless signal.
- Overheating Warning: Ensure the air filter is clean and there is adequate ventilation around the projector. Turn off the projector and allow it to cool before restarting.
