Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your Packer 3s tape dispenser for first use:

- Load the Tape Roll:
- Place a roll of water-activated tape (1 to 3 inches wide) onto the tape spindle.
- Thread the leading edge of the tape through the dispenser, ensuring it passes over the wetting brush and under the cutting blade.
- Ensure the adhesive side of the tape faces downwards, towards the wetting mechanism.
- Test Dispensing: Pull a short length of tape to confirm it feeds smoothly and the wetting mechanism properly moistens the adhesive side.
Operating Instructions
The Packer 3s is designed for simple "pull and tear" operation:
- Pull Tape to Desired Length: Grasp the leading edge of the tape and pull it forward to the desired length for your package. The tape will pass over the wetting brush, activating the adhesive.
- Tear the Tape: Once the desired length is reached, pull the tape upwards against the cutting blade to cleanly tear it.
- Apply to Package: Immediately apply the moistened tape to your package, pressing firmly to ensure proper adhesion.
Note: For optimal adhesion, ensure the tape is adequately wet but not oversaturated. Adjust your pulling speed if necessary to achieve consistent wetting.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Packer 3s dispenser:
- Clean the Water Reservoir: Periodically empty and clean the water reservoir to prevent mold or mineral buildup. Use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect the Wetting Brush: Check the wetting brush for wear or debris. If it appears matted or dirty, gently clean it with water. Replace if severely worn.
- Clean the Cutting Blade: The cutting blade is sharp. Carefully wipe any tape residue from the blade using a damp cloth. Exercise caution to avoid injury.
- Keep Dispenser Clean: Wipe down the exterior of the dispenser with a damp cloth to remove dust and tape adhesive residue.
