2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons, or exposure to excessive microwave energy, observe the following basic precautions:

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
• Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
• Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the: (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces.

4. Installation and Setup

The Cookology IMOG25LBK is designed for built-in installation. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper fitting and electrical connection.

Initial Setup:

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the oven and its accessories.
2. Placement: Ensure the oven is placed on a flat, stable surface or securely installed in the cabinet opening.
3. Turntable Installation: Place the roller ring in the center of the oven cavity. Position the glass turntable securely on top of the roller ring.
4. Power Connection: Plug the oven into a properly earthed electrical outlet.
5. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth before first use.

5. Operating Instructions

The control panel features a digital display and various buttons and a dial for easy operation.

Control Panel Overview:

• Digital Display: Shows time, cooking settings, and program indicators.
• Function Buttons: Select Microwave, Grill, Combi, or Convection modes.
• Defrost Buttons: For defrosting by weight or time.
• Auto Menu Buttons: Access pre-set cooking programs.
• Dial: Adjusts time, weight, or menu selection.
• Start/+30Sec./Confirm Button: Starts cooking, adds 30 seconds, or confirms selections.
• Stop/Clear Button: Stops cooking or clears settings.
• Clock/Pre-Set Button: Sets the clock or pre-sets cooking times.

Basic Microwave Operation:

1. Place food in a microwave-safe container on the turntable.
2. Close the oven door securely.
3. Press the "Microwave" button.
4. Turn the dial to set the desired cooking time.
5. Press the "Start/+30Sec./Confirm" button to begin cooking.

Grill Function:

1. Place food on the grill rack (if provided) or a suitable heat-resistant dish.
2. Press the "Grill" button.
3. Turn the dial to set the desired grilling time.
4. Press the "Start/+30Sec./Confirm" button to begin grilling.

Auto Cooking Programs:

The oven features 8 pre-set auto cooking programs for convenience. These include: Auto Reheat, Baked potato, Meat, Vegetable, Fish, Pasta, Soup, Cake, Pizza, Chicken.

1. Place food in the oven.
2. Press the "Auto Menu" button repeatedly to cycle through the programs, or use the dial to select the desired program number.
3. The display will show the program name or number.
4. Press the "Start/+30Sec./Confirm" button to begin. The oven will automatically set the appropriate power level and cooking time based on the program and selected weight (if applicable).

Defrost Function:

The oven offers defrosting by weight or time.

• Defrost by Weight:
  1. Place frozen food in the oven.
  2. Press the "Defrost by Weight" button.
  3. Turn the dial to select the food weight.
  4. Press "Start/+30Sec./Confirm".
• Defrost by Time:
  1. Place frozen food in the oven.
  2. Press the "Defrost by Time" button.
  3. Turn the dial to set the desired defrosting time.
  4. Press "Start/+30Sec./Confirm".

Child Safety Lock:

To activate the child lock, press and hold the "Stop/Clear" button for approximately 3 seconds until a lock indicator appears on the display. To deactivate, repeat the process.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your microwave oven will help maintain its performance and extend its lifespan.

• Interior Cleaning: After each use, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, place a bowl of water with lemon slices inside and microwave for 2-3 minutes to loosen residue, then wipe clean.
• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Door Seals: Keep the door seals and adjacent parts clean. Use a soft cloth and mild soapy water.
• Turntable and Roller Ring: The glass turntable and roller ring can be removed and washed in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
• Odour Removal: To remove odours from the oven, combine a cup of water with the juice and skin of one lemon in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 5 minutes.

CAUTION: Always unplug the oven before cleaning. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
