1. Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

3. Setup
Initial Cleaning:
- Remove all labels and tags from the coffee maker.
- Wash the thermal carafe, carafe lid, removable water reservoir, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.
- Before first use, brew two full carafes of water without coffee grounds to clean the internal components.
Assembly:
- Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure the thermal carafe is properly seated on the warming plate.
- Insert the filter basket into its designated slot.
- Fill the removable water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired level (max 10 cups).

4. Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee:
- Ensure the coffee maker is plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Fill the removable water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired level.
- Place a standard basket-style paper filter or the included reusable filter into the filter basket.
- Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. A general guideline is 1 tablespoon of coffee per cup.
- Close the filter basket and ensure the thermal carafe is correctly positioned.
- Press the "Brew Now" button to start the brewing cycle.
- The Grab-A-Cup Auto Pause feature allows you to temporarily remove the carafe for a quick pour during brewing. Replace the carafe within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
Setting the Delay Brew:
- Prepare the coffee maker for brewing as described above (water, filter, coffee grounds).
- Press the "Set Delay" button. The display will flash.
- Use the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to set your desired brew time.
- Press the "Delay Brew" button to activate the timer. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The coffee maker will automatically start brewing at the programmed time.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Daily Cleaning:
- Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely.
- Discard used coffee grounds and paper filter.
- Wash the thermal carafe, carafe lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
Mineral deposits from water can affect the performance and taste of your coffee. The coffee maker features a "Clean" cycle to facilitate descaling.
- Empty the water reservoir and remove the filter basket.
- Fill the water reservoir with 4 cups of undiluted white vinegar.
- Place the empty thermal carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
- Press the "Clean" button. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the cycle to complete (approximately 45-60 minutes). The coffee maker will automatically shut off.
- After the cycle, discard the vinegar solution.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water and run two full brewing cycles with water only to rinse thoroughly.
Water Filter Replacement:
The water filtration disk should be replaced approximately every 30 days or after 30 brewing cycles, whichever comes first, to maintain optimal water quality.
6. Troubleshooting
