5. Operating Instructions: Video Mode Switching
This Anlapus camera supports four video modes: TVI, CVI, AHD, and CVBS/960H Analog. The default video mode is TVI. To ensure proper display, the camera's output mode must match the input mode supported by your DVR. You can switch the video mode using the OSD (On-Screen Display) joystick located on the camera's short cable.
5.1. How to Switch Video Output Mode
- Check DVR Compatibility:
Before switching, identify which video formats your DVR supports. This is crucial for successful operation.
- Connect Camera to DVR:
Ensure the 4-in-1 camera is connected to your DVR system and powered on.
- Use OSD Joystick:
Press and hold the OSD joystick in the desired direction for approximately 5 seconds, then release. The screen will momentarily go blank before displaying the image in the new mode.
- Upward: Switches to CVBS/960H Analog mode.
- Downward: Switches to CVI mode.
- Leftward: Switches to AHD mode.
- Rightward: Switches to TVI mode (default).
Important Note: If your DVR supports 4-in-1 (or 5-in-1) modes, it is recommended to set the camera to TVI, AHD, or CVI mode for optimal image quality. If no image displays after switching, try cycling through all modes on the OSD joystick.

6. Troubleshooting
- No Image Display:
Ensure the camera is properly powered and connected to the DVR. Verify that the camera's video output mode matches the DVR's input mode using the OSD joystick as described in Section 5. If still no image, try cycling through all modes on the OSD joystick.
- Poor Image Quality:
Check all cable connections for looseness or damage. Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions. Adjust the camera's position to avoid direct glare or reflections. For optimal 1080P resolution, ensure your DVR supports 1080P/1080P Lite/1080N TVI/CVI/AHD/Analog formats.
- Night Vision Issues:
Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the IR LEDs. Verify that the camera is receiving adequate power. The IR-Cut filter should automatically switch in low light conditions.
