4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Magnification
The Emarth spotting scope offers a powerful zoom magnification range from 20x to 60x. To adjust the magnification:
Rotate the magnification wheel located on the eyepiece. Turn it clockwise to increase magnification and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Start with a lower magnification (20x) to locate your target, then gradually increase to a higher magnification for more detailed viewing.

4.2 Focusing the Image
To achieve a clear and sharp image:
Locate the focusing wheel on the main body of the scope.
Rotate the focusing wheel slowly until the image appears sharp and clear. This model features a dual focus wheel system for both fast and fine-tuning adjustments.
4.3 Adjusting Viewing Angle
The 45-degree angled eyepiece provides comfortable viewing. The scope can be rotated 360 degrees on the tripod to allow for various viewing positions without moving the tripod itself. Use the tripod's handle and adjustment knobs to fine-tune the vertical and horizontal angles.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Lenses
Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses.
Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust or smudges. For stubborn marks, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid on the cloth, not directly on the lens.
Avoid touching the lens surfaces with your fingers.
5.2 Storage
Always replace the lens caps when the scope is not in use to protect the lenses from dust and scratches.
Store the spotting scope in its carry bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
The scope is waterproof and fogproof, but proper storage extends its lifespan.
6. Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
Image is blurry or out of focus.
Improper focus adjustment.
Rotate the focusing wheel slowly until the image becomes clear. Ensure both coarse and fine adjustments are made.
Dark edges or vignetting in the view.
Incorrect eye relief or phone adapter alignment.
Adjust your eye position closer to the eyepiece. If using a phone adapter, ensure the phone camera is perfectly centered over the eyepiece.
Scope is unstable on the tripod.
Tripod legs not fully extended or tightened.
Ensure all tripod leg locks are secure and the scope is firmly attached to the tripod head. Place the tripod on a stable, level surface.
Difficulty seeing in low light.
High magnification in low light conditions.
Reduce the magnification to allow more light to enter the scope. The BAK4 prism and multi-coated lenses are designed to maximize light transmission.
