2. Safety Instructions

3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the thermal knife and all accessories from the packaging. Check for any damage.
- Blade Installation: Ensure the device is unplugged. Securely attach the appropriate blade for your cutting task. Refer to the blade attachment mechanism on the tool.
- Work Area Preparation: Set up your work area in a well-ventilated space. Ensure the material to be cut is stable and properly supported.
- Power Connection: Plug the thermal knife into a suitable power outlet (220-240V AC).
4. Operating Instructions
The Dedra DED7520 features a temperature control system with a light signal to indicate readiness for work and 5 heating levels.
- Power On: Switch on the device. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Temperature Selection: Use the temperature control dial or buttons to select the desired heating level. The available temperature range is 70°C, 150°C, 275°C, 380°C, and 450°C. Start with a lower temperature and increase if necessary.
- Preheating: Allow the thermal knife to preheat. The light signal will indicate when the selected temperature is reached and the tool is ready for use. This typically takes a few minutes.
- Cutting: Gently guide the heated blade through the material. Do not apply excessive force; allow the heat to do the work. Maintain a steady, even pace for clean cuts.
- Cool Down: After use, switch off the device and unplug it. Place the thermal knife on a heat-resistant surface and allow it to cool completely before storing.
Note: The working length of the blade is approximately 14 cm, with a maximum knife length of 22 cm.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the device is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the handle and body. Carefully remove any melted material residue from the blade using a non-abrasive tool.
- Blade Replacement: If the blade becomes dull or damaged, replace it with an original Dedra replacement blade. Follow the blade installation steps in the Setup section.
- Storage: Store the thermal knife in its original packaging or a protective case in a dry, dust-free environment.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord, plug, and heating element for any signs of wear or damage.
