Setup and Assembly
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage.
- Attaching the Hose: Insert the flexible hose into the suction inlet on the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Assembling the Telescopic Pipe: Attach the telescopic pipe to the hose handle. Adjust its length by pressing the release button and extending or retracting the pipe.
- Attaching Cleaning Head: Select the desired cleaning head (e.g., 2-in-1 brush for hard floor/carpet, turbo brush) and attach it to the end of the telescopic pipe.
- Preparing for Aqua Filtration:
- Open the water tank compartment.
- Remove the water tank.
- Fill the water tank with clean water up to the indicated maximum level (0.5 L). Do not overfill.
- Securely place the filled water tank back into the compartment.
- Using Dry Dust Collection (Optional): If you prefer dry dust collection, ensure the interim dry dust collection bowl is installed instead of the water tank.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective cleaning with your VITEK VT-1838-I vacuum cleaner.
- Power Connection: Extend the power cord and plug it into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button located on the main unit to turn the vacuum cleaner on or off.
- Adjusting Suction Power: Rotate the speed control knob on the main unit to adjust the suction power from minimum (MIN) to maximum (MAX) as needed for different surfaces and cleaning tasks.
- Using Attachments:
- 2-in-1 Brush: Use the switch on the brush to extend bristles for hard floors or retract them for carpets.
- Turbo Brush: Ideal for deep cleaning carpets and removing pet hair.
- Small Brush: Suitable for delicate surfaces, shelves, and upholstery.
- Crevice Nozzle: Perfect for narrow gaps, corners, and edges.
- Furniture Brush: Designed for cleaning upholstery and curtains.
- Automatic Cord Winding: After use, press the cord rewind button on the main unit to automatically retract the power cord.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
- Emptying and Cleaning the Water Tank:
- After each use with aqua filtration, remove the water tank.
- Carefully empty the dirty water into a drain.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air dry completely before reassembling.
- Emptying the Dry Dust Collection Bowl: If using the dry dust collection bowl, empty its contents regularly into a waste bin.
- Cleaning Filters:
- HEPA Filter: The HEPA filter should be cleaned periodically. Tap it gently to remove dust or rinse under cold running water if washable (refer to specific filter instructions). Ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation.
- Foam Filter: The foam filter can be rinsed under cold running water. Squeeze out excess water and allow it to air dry completely.
- Cyclonic Duo Filter: Disassemble and clean the cyclonic filter components as needed, rinsing with water and ensuring they are dry before reassembly.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Clean attachments as needed.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your vacuum cleaner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet and the vacuum cleaner. Ensure the outlet is functional.
- Loss of Suction:
- Check if the water tank is properly filled or the dry dust collection bowl is empty.
- Inspect the hose, telescopic pipe, and attachments for blockages.
- Clean or replace the HEPA, foam, and cyclonic filters.
- Ensure all connections (hose to unit, pipe to hose, attachment to pipe) are secure.
- Unusual Noise: Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Check for any foreign objects in the brush, hose, or filters.
- Water Leakage: Ensure the water tank is correctly seated and not overfilled. Check for any cracks or damage to the water tank or seals.
