4.3 Placement
Place the lantern on a stable, flat surface indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas where it might be easily knocked over. Ensure it is not placed near sensitive electronics or materials that could be damaged by potential water leakage, although this is rare.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Timer Function
The lantern typically features a switch with multiple positions, often located near the battery compartment:
- OFF: Turns the lantern completely off.
- ON: Activates the LED light and water spinner continuously. The lantern will remain on until manually switched off or batteries are depleted.
- TIMER (5H): Activates the LED light and water spinner for 5 hours. After 5 hours, the lantern will automatically turn off. It will then automatically turn on again at the same time the next day for another 5 hours. This cycle repeats daily until the batteries are removed or depleted, or the switch is moved to another position.
To set the timer, switch the lantern to the "TIMER" position at your desired start time. For example, if you want it to turn on at 6 PM daily, switch it to "TIMER" at 6 PM.
5.2 Water Spinner and Glitter Effect
Upon activation (ON or TIMER mode), the internal motor will begin to spin the water, causing the glitter particles to circulate and create a dynamic snow-like effect around the Santa scene. This effect is continuous while the unit is powered on.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Ensure the lantern is switched off before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or the plastic globe.
- Avoid getting water into the battery compartment or any electrical components.
6.2 Battery Replacement
When the light dims, the glitter spinner slows down, or the unit stops functioning, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in Section 4.2 for battery installation, ensuring all three C 1.5V batteries are replaced with new ones.
6.3 Storage
If storing the lantern for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage. Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and physical damage.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
