4.1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the POWER button (located on the rear panel) to turn the unit on or off.
4.2. Selecting Rhythm Patterns
The KR mini features 60 built-in rhythm patterns across various genres. Use the large yellow rotary knob on the left to select a genre (e.g., POP, ROCK, JAZZ, LATIN). Once a genre is selected, press one of the numbered PATTERN buttons (1-8) to choose a specific rhythm pattern within that genre.
4.3. Using Performance Pads (Finger Drumming)
The 16 velocity-sensitive pads can be used for finger drumming or recording your own drum grooves. In Pad Mode (activated by holding the 'a+b' buttons), each pad triggers a different drum sound. The velocity sensitivity allows for expressive performances.
4.4. Chaining Patterns (Song Creation)
The Chain function allows you to link multiple rhythm patterns and fill-ins to create complete song structures. Press and hold the 'Hold Chain Edit' button, then select the desired patterns in sequence using the PATTERN buttons. This creates a seamless flow between different sections of your song.
4.5. Adjusting Tempo
Use the TEMPO knob to adjust the speed of the rhythm pattern. The tempo can be fine-tuned to match your playing style or the song's requirements.
4.6. Adjusting Level
The LEVEL knob controls the overall output volume of the KR mini, affecting both the built-in speaker and the LINE OUT jack.
4.7. Using Footswitches
If optional footswitches are connected, they can be used to start/stop playback or trigger fill-ins, providing hands-free control during practice or live performance.
