Setup and First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its power base.
- Clean: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum level. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Position: Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.
- Cord Storage: The power base features cord storage. Adjust the cord length as needed to avoid excess cord hanging.
Operating Instructions
- Fill the Kettle: Press the lid release button (if applicable) or open the lid manually. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water, ensuring it is between the minimum and maximum fill lines. Do not overfill.
- Close the Lid: Securely close the lid until it clicks into place. Ensure the lid is properly sealed to prevent steam from escaping during boiling.
- Place on Power Base: Position the kettle onto the 360-degree cordless power base. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Connect to Power: Plug the power base into a suitable 220-240 volt AC electrical outlet.
- Switch On: Press the ON/OFF switch located on the handle or base of the kettle. The power indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
- Boiling Process: The kettle will begin to heat the water. Once the water reaches boiling point, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the power indicator light will extinguish.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Always pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing.
- Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water immediately after it has switched off, allow a few seconds for the internal thermostat to reset before pressing the ON/OFF switch again.
Boil-Dry Protection: This kettle is equipped with a safety feature that automatically switches off the heating element if the kettle is accidentally switched on without sufficient water. If this occurs, unplug the kettle, allow it to cool down for several minutes, then refill with water and resume normal operation.
Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle and ensure optimal performance.
Cleaning the Exterior
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.
- Never immerse the kettle or its power base in water or any other liquid.
Cleaning the Interior and Filter Sieve
- Filter Sieve: The removable filter sieve can be cleaned by rinsing it under running water. For stubborn deposits, gently brush it with a soft brush. Ensure it is properly re-inserted before use.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste.
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy deposits.
- Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- If necessary, repeat the process. Alternatively, commercial descaling solutions designed for kettles can be used following the manufacturer's instructions.
